1.
I owned one of these many years ago. Great looking basses! Be damned if I could remember any of the specs tho'. Always regretted getting rid of mine, so may be tempted...
Be tempted, very tempted....you are not a million miles away either.
2. Yes - it is indeed a lovely looking bass. For those concerned by dinks - As is often the case the dinks look worse in the pics than they do in the flesh.
3. Would be interested to know the story behind the repair and the need for repair. Is it related to Warwick pre volute necked basses and the weakness around this area?
4. Continued Job Insecurity so the cull continues. 1994 MIJ Fender Precision Foto Flame In Blue I think these are fairly rare Fender Foto Flame basses - not seen many of these around in blue. The serial number dates it to 93/94. Well loved and well played, there is some mojo on this but nothing that affects playability. Just the normal mojo expected from a workhorse bass. Apparently the Foto Flame Finish is prone to cracks in the finish, the only finish crack that I can see on this is close to the bridge. Other areas worth highlighting are the chip on the back that has been poorly touched in by a previous owner and the ding on the underside of the bass, also a hairline crack in the pickguard near the jack socket. Please see the pictures for these. I’m not a Fender expert but all is stock as far as I know although the previous owner told me that he replaced the perished foam under the pickups with springs. Indeed any comments from the Fender Illuminati on the spec of the bass would be much appreciated. [s]TRADED[/s]
5. Bought a book from Mick - patiently waited for my return from holiday to sort out the payment. Mick has seen my wanted ad for the book and went out of his way to bring the me and the book together. First class transaction. Thanks again Mick.
6.
Hiya m8 is it still for sale I'm very interested
Yes - still available - I've PM'ed you
7. Another deal done - super easy, super straightforward, super guy. Deal in confidence - Top BC'er...
8. Interestingly - There has been a rumour of doing that!, and it would be possible. I've been challenged to run in the early wave, and to loop around and do it again as a race against a work colleague who will wait for me to start the second race then off we go. Not sure the logisitics of a busy Central Manchester will allow it though and I know I'd be holding back in the first run. You not fancy it Daz? - swap you the entry for a Farida?
9. I've got a spare entry for the 10km (6 miles in old money) Great Manchester Run, this Sunday 26th May available to any BC'er who wants it for free (cost £35.00). PM me if interested.
10. Cross Reference From My Listing In Miscellanous to see if this is passing people by: http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1 Price or Trade Value : £16.00 Behringer Tuner Pedal TU300. Nice, tidy pedal tuner this. £16.00 posted in the UK, or £20.00 posted in the UK complete with the power supply unit. NOW SOLD!!!
11. I agree with the sell it comments. I've found that once the seed is sown in your mind of having doubts, not gelling etc then it is the beginning of the end. It can take a while to convince yourself of this but in the end I've always ended up moving on anything that I've started to have doubts about.
12. I think black is an easy colour to match. If it was me I'd leave it as I'm not too bothered about dings etc but if you really wanted to spruce it up a bit I'd repaint it with black nail varnish. A little at a time and let it dry as you build up the layers until level.
13. I think I might need to clarify. I already had the Euro 5LX I'm GASing for a 4 string spector have not played a Euro LX TW with the Single / Dual coil switchable pickups - they seem a bit thin on the ground although I realise that they have not been around too long.
14. Tom1946 - the bridge was already on when I got the bass. I'm not sure if it replaced a 5 hole or 4 hole bridge. I can say that it is very sturdy and a tidy job. sprocketflup - yes willing to post and PM'ed.
15. Another one of those factors that are so small to be almost not worth considering.
16. Obvious suggestion is a Warwick Double buck...
17. Sold a bass to Shem - great transaction, hassle free. Top man, would have no hesitation in dealing with again.
18. Thanks for all the input - I've got a Euro 5LX - great bass. I'm interested in first hand opinions of the newer TW's and how different they are. Finding one in the flesh seems to be very tricky
19.
That action is crazily low. It's gotta have some incredibly high build quality to be able to get away with that! Great great value.
Indeed it does and it is ! - Bump
20.
Hard luck Martyn, he will accept courier if sorted by buyer (his Q and A bit below the ad)
Ahh... well spotted
