  1. and I thought it was thunder I was hearing....
  2. You mention replacing the Tuners. Looks like the reason they used small Tuners is because the posts look very close to the edge. I'm not convinced a standard elephant ear tuner will fit so you may have to go with something like this. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-x-NEW-Wilkinson-WJB-650-Tuners-Machine-heads-for-Bass-Guitar-WJB650/131402034322?hash=item1e982bec92:m:mRHkxo0Kc5cN_0zjGv09NyQ&var=431475327783 Obviously if you measure the tuner post hole to the edge of the headstock you'll be able to compare it to the different sizes available.
  3. Why not contact Chris May at Overwater? I'm sure he'll be able to help.
  4. Can Blue Men sing the Whites (or are they hypocrites)?🙄
  5. I've had both Agas and conventional ovens and preferred my old gas oven
  6. I never have the need to clean strings as i always eat my kebab after the gig...
  7. Protection Racket now do a bass sleeve clone for around £60. You can slide your Bass in vertically and I prefer it to my M80 Mono Sleeve.
  8. Adam bought some Tuners from me. Instant payment and great comms. Cheers
  9. Dirty word: does 'crack bier ken' work for you?
  10. Just noticed Jim Fleeting is still listed as in Ripon, Yorks. This is his current address: Unit 6 The Ropeworks Stanbank Street Stockport Greater Manchester SK4 1PX
  11. ......unless you've already seen it in Off Topic....!🙃 Still funny mind.
  12. Didn't the T Bass made by Status for Trace have a a hidden 3rd pickup under the scratch plate?
  13. Given you've already bought the MB I'd stick with that unless you can return it and swap it out? If so the MB is still a better quality combo but I've heard good things about the Rumble 800 too. I guess you have to ask yourself which sound you prefer ( and don't forget what you hear is not what the audience will hear). I like MB gear and have a CMD 121P and when I tried the Rumble 500 did not like the sound but the Rumble 800 has lots of toys. Different strokes for different folks...
  14. One would have thought if it is done through a Broker like Danny, they would be on top of the CITES issue? (Not saying you are wrong to mention CITES anyway)!🙂
  15. They've just announced by email a new load of acts for the Fall (not The Fall!), but it was just a teaser from DH so no details yet.
  16. I've seen repeats of Abbey Road Sessions on C4 I think?
  17. Just reported a Ricky and a Lakland D Jones being sold by Queen Mother 5
  18. RRP £399(!) but doing them for £160 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Shine-Tele-Style-Electric-Bass-Guitar-SBA-704-Natural-Tele-Humbucker-Pickups/372327951494?_trkparms=aid%3D555017%26algo%3DPL.CASSINI%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20170912102133%26meid%3D9bc82d4c6df94ea692955ce2a82dd4bf%26pid%3D100754%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26%26itm%3D372327951494&_trksid=p2045573.c100754.m4842
  19. I was at US Disney in Florida at the big water park and there was a big stage. The day before I visited the Neville Brothers had played...😥
  20. Excuse the high-jack but I've just pulled the trigger on one of these pickups from Oil City for my Japanese Blue Flower 68 P. I find myself not using the Bass as the stock pick-up is a bit 'thuddy ' ( yes, I know flats don't help)! Sounds as if it might be just what I need, from your description!
  21. I see, you keep on asking the same question (but in different ways), until you get the answer you want.....😉!
  22. Welcome, as I frantically try to change my name to yorks4stringer....
