  1. Oh dear, I hope he listens to his body and Doctors and does not continue to overdo things, take good care of yourself Lee.
  2. Just back from Snarky Puppy at the Bristol 02. Great sound and show, they had 2 remote like security movable cameras on the stage so you could see what the keys were playing. Michael League is a beast on Bass and leads the band who are all accomplished players with great chops. I don't know any of their stuff but enjoyed the playing anyway, bit hard to categorise but more jazz than funk?
  3. and there was me thinking a 'flat 4' was a Subaru engine....
  4. Back Catalogue? Maybe that's why they recorded 'I Can't Dance'?
  5. I say this from total ignorance but it looks as if it might need a new set of strings too...?
  6. 'Fender '65 PbirdEB0 as I affectionately call this amazing bass guitar' Yep, it rolls off the tongue.....
  7. I'm not the orgainser but am sure it will be fine: there's always drop-outs on the day too.
  8. Hi G Be nice to renew my acquaintance with a Variax 5, had one many years ago but not defretted obvs.!
  9. But that will mean the Bash be cancelled yet again....! If not, will also mean more stewards need to be engaged for all crowds and overflow parking needed. Catering numbers will need to be revised and more Raffle Prizes required. If only I knew an author who could donate a box of books....?
  10. Lesson 1 . If you add up the cost of all the parts you used to make a Bass that does not necessarily equate to the selling price. It's a bit like buying a Rolls Royce to which you've added a wide body lowering kit and awful wheels.....
  11. I'll also be bringing a semi-bruised ego having been presented with my band P45 but £250 recording contribution Cash-back on Tuesday......✊
  12. Experienced Bass seeking similar musicians to play material like on Raise the Roof and the earlier Raising Sands. Loads of experience, great gear and attitude, willing to travel for the right opportunity and some BV's too. Other faves include Margo Price, Jason Isbell, Amanda Shires and Lawrence (!) so hopefully no Eagles cover bands please ( unless it's material from the first two albums)! Also please don't be put off trying me if you are from other genres, I'll always reply!
  13. Type your name into the search box on the Feedback thread
  14. To the OP, you are MDP and I claim my £5! Don't worry, someone will be along later to explain.
  15. Never seen a Tort pickguard on one of these early ones before, says on Fender site they did not introduce them till 1959, before then it was black or white.
  16. We had a booked gig for tonight in a Village Hall that fell through so contacted a local pub and suggested we come along and play for drinks and a hat passed around. We posted on Facebook and quite a few villagers turned up and we got paid too.
