  1. I'd have asked for a replacement if mine had died after 6 months. Not sure its the amp that's responsible if a tweeter goes in your cab mind? That said I've disconnected the one in my CMD121P which is the same amp and tweeter but in a combo....!
  2. Yes, but the German distance selling regs still apply. Agreed, there is no warranty so they would not replace a faulty one with another better one but you can still return it for a refund.
  3. Can still send them back under German Distance Selling regs.
  4. Thomann have currently got these for £266, maybe worth a punt? https://www.thomann.de/gb/marcus_miller_v7_alder_4_bk_deko.htm
  5. Unfortunately not everyone responds in the way you would wish to respond. I've noticed a family member who conducts her life on her mobile phone is much less likely to respond to an email but apparently she is big on whatsapp, whatever that is! I once spent a week bombarding a seller on here with messages about what he was selling and that I wanted to buy it: he did not have his mobile enabled for PM's so had PX'd it before he finally saw my message. It's frustrating, and some would say rude but as the poster above, most of my dealings have been fine on here too.
  6. Again, bought some books from Stuart, as new condition and expertly packaged too.
  7. I have a MInimark 802 and a MarkBass CMD121P. I use the former for Open Mics and small gigs with a semi acoustic band and the latter for larger gigs but it usually lines out into the House PA. Equally the 802 could lineout too but it is quieter on stage being only 150w as opposed to the 300w of the CMD121P. The CMD121P looks bigger too but having supported a band last week who had a fridge bass cab and 800 w head, anything else looks tiny anyway!
  8. Hope you got some Pizza, salade and fromage too?
  9. Much better to have exposed tuner gears so they get all gummed up with crud, than have them neatly enclosed! Funny how form takes precedence over function?
  10. Mind on second thoughts, the Bass has to be a copy, that control plate is all wrong for a single pickup and the string spacing is seriously wonky....
  11. Typical Fender neck, erring on the chunky side! That Pink 'Flea' colour is spot on too!
  12. New other (see details): A new, unused item with absolutely no signs of wear. The item may be missing its original packaging, or the original packaging has been opened or is no longer sealed. The item may be a factory second, or a new and unused item with minor defects. See the seller’s listing for full details and description of any imperfections I guess the issue is the lie by saying it is 'discontinued' rather than pointing out the 'D' imperfections and saying it is stamped with a D as it was a 'deco'?
  13. He must have a few years on me ( and I'm 63) and seems to have turned into a miserable Old Git ( and I fully recognise there are F/t and P/t versions...)
  14. Ah yes, you must mean 'Walking the Dog' by Rufus Thomas?
  15. I've just done a google search of the guy, and yes he played with some big names in the 60's and 70's. I'm not going to name him but you could do your own research however. Doesn't excuse his attitude mind and given his pedigree, he may be looking on the wrong site (JMB) for a pro band....
  16. Yes, wait till the Postie calls....it will be yap- yap- yap....
  17. I've just had a PM conversation with him and unfortunately, when he started telling me my standards were much lower than his, and again repeated he has played with 2 pro bands, I realised I was not worthy. He did admit his ad above was sarcastic- and I did suggest he might be more successful if he was less 'edgy'...
  18. Tea? That's made from flowers and I don't want to harm any beautiful flowers.....
  19. I've heard the point of a 'shoe-gazing' band that they don't make eye contact but just look at their shoes, or have I got that wrong?
  20. Yes it's a looky-likey. With regard to the mod, weirdly I have carved up my older Telebass because it is more road-worn and had been modded anyway for another pickup but the Blueflower is all pristine and it feels sacrilegious to start digging away at it! I have the tools, routers and the skills. As you say, I will know it is there, even if it is obscured. I have another pickup which may be a bit hotter and would have no qualms about swapping that but harming those flowers seems cruel. They are real flowers....
