Deffo a decal and a strange bit of distressing below the bridge, wonder how that happened?

Varitone switch is 25 x 31x17mm so will not fit my Blueflower cavity without enlarging it and I am reluctant to do this for visual reasons( even though it will be hidden).Weird?

A little while ago I posted an ad from this person from JMB. Many (though not I) thought his attitude was fine. He has now posted a new ad in an adjacent area and I thought it was worthy of some air-time: Hello, I haven’t advertised in the Dorset area before. I’ll write slowly so you’ ll understand me. Nice instructions, I drew around my telebass headstock onto paper and used that as a template and then just free-styled a little. I fitted a twin saddle bridge on the Telebass, then put a cover over it... so have removed the cover. However the intonation was fine. Was toying with doing the string through and twin saddle conversion on the HB but don't think its worth putting that much extra money into it. I've also reversed my Herring pickup back out of the HB as the Bass going up for sale now I have the Blueflower. One thing I was wondering from looking at another thread, was as there is just the single pickup, whether a varitone conversion would work well, as tonally it is quite limited? Was actually thinking of this for the Blueflower but it is quite a narrow shallow control plate area and I don't want to be hacking lumps out of it... Forgot to say to the OP, notice you have copper lined the cavity: did you find an issue with noise as I've had no problems with mine on either pickup.

I had the same issue, tried everything and narrowed it down to the truss rod. If I rapped my Knuckes on the neck you could hear it rattling. Unfortunately I sent it back to the shop to check out, they sent it back to Fender ( w/o my permission) and I lost the Bass. Tweaking the truss rod made no difference ( and it still worked) but I was prepared to inject some silicone down the channel to see if that would damp it yet not render the rod unusable. The other option was to tease out the central dot marker, carefully drill down to the rod and inject more silicone there too, fill and then replace dot marker with a new one.

I had a Warwick Star Bass and it fitted the Casady case, which I bought. Thomann do a case that they say fits the Star Bass...could be worth checking?

Played Pilton WMC and Village Hall last night with the Bad Cowboys. Told to arrive at 7.00 as PA would be provided. Massive PA, helpful crew and the wall was posted with all the enclosed. Pilton is the nearest Village to Glastonbury, for those who are unaware. Gig went well and at the end this nice chap with white hair was very keen to be photographed with us. He's in the middle, I'm on the left: apparently he's some local celebrity, I'm not......

When working on my Basses I put an old blanket under the body and use half a dozen cardboard tomato trays( the ones you buy small tomatoes in from the supermarket) stacked together upside down as a neck support.

Never designed to be used outside the cabinet, just removable for service. Some people got a cheap plastic chopping board( the thin type), cut to size and used that- 2009 post:

I use Meguiars Ultimate compound: T Cut is very old hat and if used too heavily can cut though the clear coat.

Usual tat, Guitar Tool kit, Nike Fuel Band( early Fit-Bit) and Autoglym Wash and Protect Kit.

I actually used excess string cut-offs to pick the lock, seemed approriate!

Managed to pick them last night, thanks to all for replies.

Tried picking it and there is a Fender key on eBay, it's a No 30. Have also emailed Fender too. Says the number is on the barrel but I can't see it...

Is there anyone who has a Black Tolex Fender case with a Cheney key, that they could look at the key number for me please?
