  1. That's better! You've almost got 'Ark donkey' as the badge now......
  2. Disappointed you did not include the slippers in the photo..I feel almost cheated! Enjoy the 802, mine has become the go-to choice for rehearsals and small gigs.
  3. It's now gone back up, on Friday and when I posted it showed the lower price. Snooze you lose....!
  4. To be fair to G4M, earlier this year I bought a Squire Jaguar off them. It had a rattling truss rod and I tried everything to sort it before telling them. They said 'send it back to us and our tech will look at it'' and I said 'OK but whatever you do, I don't want you to send it back to Fender without discussing it with me as I don't want to lose it (due to rosewood board issues it was the last one of that colour in Europe). Naturally they screwed up and sent it back to Fender.. and I went ballistic! They held their hands up:it cost me £175 and they eventually offered to credit me £300 to replace it but there was nothing in a 5 string that I wanted from them, so they gave me the cash to spend elsewhere and I managed to get a sunburst one from Germany. I guess the bass playing community might not be big enough for them to actually honour the price gaff they have made on the EUB, sometimes the good publicity they get outweighs the loss of profit...
  5. This seems (unlike the Offer from G4M) a genuine bargain: can't see anyone else close to this price at £583 https://www.absolutemusic.co.uk/markbass-ninja-102-250-2x10-inch-bass-amp-combo.html
  6. He has a beard, is wearing his cap backwards and is driving on the wrong side of the road too. That's 3 things, what do I win?
  7. Sounded lots better through headphones but I'm sure Trudie Styler was shaking ( not nodding) her head to the music. Thing is if Sting was American he'd be whopping and hollering all the way through and we'd all think 'what a sport' Instead he shows a natural reserve and gets castigated! Paradoxically when Annie Lennox does her tribute to him, he looks genuinely touched. When Gregory Porter totally aces 'It's Probably Me' you can tell he recognises a great vocal performance. Trudie is well up for Greg too...
  8. One wonder if the only genuine thing in the photo is the Fender box it is propped up against (allegedly)!
  9. On the subject of using playing cards for a shim, does it matter what suite or indeed is a higher number better than a lower one...discuss!
  10. Says all questions will be shared...have had no response. I asked if this Bass was the same as the ones for sale a week earlier at £399.....
  11. Well as Drew Pritchard would say, 'We've established some provenance'! Just need all the offers to flood in......
  12. Well, it proves conclusively that Germans do have a sense of humour!
  13. Mine comes and goes (occasional numbness but no pain): I bought a couple of decent wrist braces which I always wear at night. Incidentally one of the symptoms of a low functioning thryoid is carpal tunnel issues...
  14. Luckily there was an opportunity to ask a question, which I have....?
  15. Have to look at mine again then, as unless you can slide the string ball into a groove on the saddle, i cannot see anywhere on the back vertical bit (where the saddle screw heads reside) to thread a string through.....
  16. There's a response here I wrote from 9 years ago ... but can't help you re Pete, I moved away a long time ago
  17. Yes, when I put the Fender twin saddle bridge back on I realised it made the E way off the designated pole-piece....
  18. Looks like a Thomann deco that has had the headstock re-shaped and a transfer applied. Think the cover has just popped off the actual pick-up.
  19. It was on a 72 Tele Bass but I have no idea when the conversion was made. Re being Hohner, I had a google at 70's Hohners and could not see it on their OEM models.
