1. I'd pay good money to see a twin neck Stingray..........
2. and of course men never have moods swings? Some cheap comments appearing on this thread. You'd think we have no women members.... Oh, before anyone says anything like, 'it was just a bit of fun',.... don't.
3. Have a bump, great price as new these are £575... I've gigged mine with 2 guitars and drums and its been fine.
4. Didn't you try one yourself at the Bash, or are you looking a buying one?
5. I must have mentioned the drummer with electronic drums I auditioned once who proceeded to play us the end of the 'Eastenders Theme' as proof he could play.....?
6.
I'd charge them an admin fee for wasting your time.
Yes, £2.50 plus VAT!
7. Just had an email from Parcel2Go saying the Bass I sent recently incurred an extra £7.00 charge( plus £2.50 admin) charge because it was 150cm long and not 140 cm as I stated. It was a standard Thomann box and was just under 140 cm, I checked. Anyway they said they would cover the charge this time, which was big of them considering it was a totally trumped up issue. From what I remember someone else had a similar post fairly recently too.....
8. It will be hard to better last year's Bash...unless I win a Raffle prize!
9. Just had a similar type of issue as I swapped out a non-standard 4 saddle bridge for a Vintage 2 saddle variety on my Tele Bass. Saddle spacing is a bit wider and strings no longer go over the pole pieces of my non standard bridge humbucker.... Anyway, back to your issue, this link is from an old Mustang query on BC: http://www.guitarpartsresource.com/middle_bass.htm. Don't know it will help?
10. Same item is £30 inc. in UK, so may be safer to get it from here?
11. So I'm thinking of getting something from Reverb, cost £10 and £10 postage. As it is coming from the USA is it likely to cost me any more at these low levels of expenditure?
12. Looking at fitting a 51 Vintage straight edged Bridge Cover over the non -standard bridge on my recent purchase but not sure if the Vintage 51 type bridge cover will fit. Anyone kind enough to give me dimensions please, cannot find anything on the net? FYI my bridge is 80mm wide, 50 mm deep and 17mm high at the back edge. Thanks
13. Shame but think they could have found another band who look and sound the same...?
14. Does a mucky white count?
15. In this digital age, do any of us read the R&G's in any fine detail, especially if from a hand -held device? If for example ( like I did last week) I added a hard case to my Bass Sale Advert to sweeten the deal, is that an infraction? Taken at face value and literally according to (9i) quoted above, it would appear so...? Not being (too) pedantic here but maybe the rules need to be clearer: just sayin I actually revived this thread to highlight a positive experience so I'm not just 'havin a go'!
16. I bought something from them which had to be returned. They took the money from me straight away and kept me waiting 3 weeks (as it had to be ordered in), and then when i returned it, had to wait a further month for the refund...... But if it is in stock and you don't need to send it back they should be OK..
17. I think they come with D'adarrios as OEM and they do single .145 strings too I think?. Lo -Rider don't do a .145 however so it would not be matched. The Lo Riders were only used for about 1 hour by me so are pretty fresh.

19. Sold an Ibanez Bass to Jimmy. problem free transaction and he paid promptly. I 'wood' say he is a great guy to deal with.
20.
I prefer to buy on here, I do definitely find that items sell better and faster on Facebook though, and often for more money. I was threatened with getting banned on here recently for adding an item to a sales advert. I genuinely didn't realise that you couldn't do that. Anyway I put the offending item on to Facebook and it sold within 10 minutes, for more than I was asking on here.
Sledgehammer...nut?
21. I've sold an Ibanez Artcore 5, a VM P Squier V and a MarkBass New York 121 all as new and keenly priced, on Basschat in the last week and with very little effort. It works for me!
22.
Bugger, i missed it. double bugger, i could of met my hero thrice bugger, ... i could of met my hero quad bugger, ........i could of met my hero Just ... bugger,
Here's my experience of meeting FRP... It was in the small hall in the O2 Arena a few years ago. i waited patiently in line to speak to him and get the obligatory selfie. When it was my turn I stepped forward, shook his hand, thanked him and explained how he was an inspirational influence to me. I cued up the phone camera ready to take the image and it rang at the same time from a family member who had gone out a different exit and got lost.. in answering it the moment was lost and and I never got my selfie. Postscript: a few years later someone posted on Basschat about him and I got a signed set of strings ( he wrote KYDA- keep your dream alive) too and a signed photo sent all the way from the USA.
23. Well at least I have the black designer specs that many top Bassists wear... just need the chops now!
24.
Last defret I did, I took some removed frets to the place I bought the veneer. This way I could compare the tang directly with the replacement material.
Good idea or you could just measure the tang if ordering online.
