Ironically just had an email from the contact with this band saying (as the list was provided by a new vocalist), that he is not happy with the Set-List and suggesting other less low-hanging material. Issue solved, thanks for the feedback.

It's gone a bit quiet on the gigging front as one Band I'm in has a guitarist who spends most of his time on holiday in Italy in his cottage..... So I decided to look around for another Band and there are auditions soon. The Set List is the usual fare "Stand By Me" and "Road to Hell" but also includes one of my all- time least favourite songs: "Living Next Door to Alice" (you know the rest). Should I suck it up, a song is just a song and am I being a total musical snob or should I say, before the audition "I'm really not happy about playing that song"? Discuss....

£45k and a bad back for the rest of the buyers life tho' I guess it will not see much action.

"Makes an ideal first gigging instrument"! Yeah, I can imagine turning up with that at your first audition, wrapped in a blanket ( let's face it you'll never find a case that shape). Would suit a folk band?

Having watched the demo video the guy said it has Speakons because if you used jacks they could get blown out by the power! I've never experienced that with any setup, sounds a bit far-fetched to me?

Just an idle musing, why when I click initially on the Guitar and Bass Decos, it says 13 available, I then go in to find 5 although it says 4? Where do the other ones vanish to?

There's plenty of pretentiousness on Basschat but I would guess most of it is not actually from "Pro's", who are out there too busy trying to learn a living to be pretentious......
