1. So the reality is punters who have to pay for BGM (including myself) to find out what is going on Basschat which is free...? I'd hope that at least Basschat will benefit financially from this arrangement? Maybe if your Basschat copy is featured in BGM you could get a free advert from Basschat...? At this rate Joel won't need to write another review, he could just raid Basschat? There's an excellent review of the Sire 5 Jazz here online at the moment...
2. Trading Standards have contacted "The Black Keys" for an explanation as they have studied some of their videos and have witnessed their keyboard player using the white keys too.
3. A good Luthier could fix that with Titebond, which sets harder than the wood itself. However given they would charge £50-100 to do it, there seems no apparent saving on taking a punt on it at £250
4. 1960's fag packet card seems to work the best....
5. Following even more complaints to Trading Standards, "The Magic Numbers" have been asked to specify which numbers they allude to. They have 30 days to come up with a suitable combination.
6. Following further complaints to Trading Standards (who are these people?), "Matchbox 20" have had to change their name to "Matchbox 40", which more accurately reflects the average number of matches in a small box.
7. Some amps have a fused socket just below where you plug in the kettle lead. It may not be immediately apparent but have you looked around the rear. If so there may be a fuse you can change in there(it may be a clear glass one)?
8. There's a bongo bag that fits, I've posted the info already somewhere already, will do a search... http://www.ozbassforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=6986&start=135
9.
The Tweets were ahead of the curve in more ways than one. Not only did they foresee the rise of social media, they were also advertising butter way before Johnny Rotten. They were engaged in a marketing campaign by the French butter magnate Marcel Isson, hence their hymn to the "beurre d'Isson".
10. Well, I've looked at all the photos but cannot see these people mentioned.."It has been finished with a couple" ! Also "Awesome" is spelt with an "e" after the "w"........and that guitar looks crap.
11.
Don't be daft, everyone knows it was dedicated to his childhood friend Albert Ross.
Both wrong, it was definitely a Scottish golf course......
12. The only issues I had with my PJ-5 were the weight and the crap scratch plate which was printed tort which scratched off due to my acid thumb!
13.
This thread is in real danger of losing it's crap image. Warren Haynes gave up golf, he always ended up in a rabbit hole.
Don't worry, it's back to crap... Chip Taylor has great short game and as for the Eagles...
14.
Jeremy Irons has never played golf.
Apparently he felt "put-upon".
15. California State Clean Air legislation has forced "The Cars" to be renamed "The Hybrids" when they Tour there this Spring. The impact of this legislation has also touched Hollywood where Vin Diesel has had to change his name to Vin Lithium-Ion. Currently English "Brideshead Revisited" Star Jeremy Ions is looking at re-launching his US career.
16.
Jurassic Five in reality hail from the Cretaceous era
Don't you mean the Crete area?
17. Looks good, I wish I'd gone down that route rather than faff around like I did, however because my EUB is so much shorter I'm guessing a stool like that would not be tall enough for me? Look forward to seeing your Stag tats....
18. I had a Godin A5 strung with nylons, sounded quite double bassy and no sound hole to cause feedback
19. Arrived today. A little trepidation as I unwrapped it, went round it with some concern only to find a tiny bit of finish missing of the bottom edge of the headstock. Nothing else! Plugged in a battery, tuned it up and it sounds fine. Can't be bothered to photograph it as it is such a tiny issue you can hardly see it. It's now off to Malta this week for the youngest's boyfriend's 40th along with a load of other stuff in a container as she has moved out there and a load of their stuff has been stored at ours. Result!
20. I would not recommend "flushing the strings", especially if like us you have a septic tank.....
21. You could always get a 5 stringer and rest your thumb on the unused B....
22. I bought at least 3 mins after alittlebitrobot posted the availability of the black one I ordered last week......maybe their connection fell down?
23. This is what I built with Jon Shuker. On reflection I should have gone with body coloured headstock. Spec is Seymour Duncan Soapbar pickups with the Steve Bailey 4 band eq. This has a pull-out slap setting too (not that it ever gets used!) It's nice and light ( for a 5er) c. 9 lbs and is swamp ash with a maple facing.
