1. I think on the "Indonesian quality, heavier than lead" Markbass thread there is some discussion about whether a late LMII is actually a Class D amp or something...? I'm guessing the Blackline is not.....
2.
Also, interestingly, Blackstar have launched a very similar product at NAMM. No idea of the pricetag on that...
£229
3. Can't argue with that response. Good to see Alex has got a "handle" on things now!
4. A LMIII and a 2X10 Traveller cab was my rig for around 4 years. I bought these with a 115 T cab but sold it as I did not need the extra power and the 210 cab was easier to pack!. Found it fine with various 5 stringers. Light, powerful and never needed to go over 12 oclock on the volume. Think the Blackline is less watts and is more a budget purchase. As you can see below I currently run a TTE500 and RJ 15" cab.....
5. Booker T and the MG's don't actually own an MG between them since Donald "Duck" Dunn sold his MG GT in 1982 when rust took hold of the inner wings.
6. My experience last Summer was it seemed to take a couple of days before the tracker showed anything, then the parcel went to the export place, sat there a couple of days, arrived in the UK overnight, then sat over here for a day then was delivered the next.
7. Industrial Noisemakers Einstürzende Neubauten are surprisingly not from Germany but a little village in Cornwall
8. Nice historic venue, an old Cinema. I've played a function upstairs there. With any luck the snow will have all cleared by then...! Have a good gig, you were missed IMHO at Bath!
9. Used my Micromark 801 at rehearsal tonight. Had to compete with female vox into PA, Guitar and Drums playing blues and soul. Once you get much past 2 oclock on the volume the speaker starts to break up with a P Bass so I ran an XLR out into the PA and had some foldback from the amp and a nice sound into the PA! Sorted. On its own it would struggle but given its size (10"x10x10") it's a breeze taking it along. Bass Gear very kindly matched the Thomann price for me ( although when Thomann don't have it in stock they drop the price and raise it once its back in stock).
10. 60's producer and noted jailbird Phil Spector first formulated the idea for his "Wall of Sand" whilst sat on Coney Island Beach
11.
Rock facts about Bitches Brew banned due to being within the Jazz category. Pity, it was fascinating
Wrong Brew, it was "Strange" not "Bitches". Where's a Mod when you need one.....?
12.
That may have been Clacton :/
Eric Clacton is selling Vanilla ice Cream,?
13.
Expressive art hairdos Milli Vanilli now rather ironically run a small kiosk on the sea front at Margate selling candy floss
Are you sure? I was down there over the Summer and they were selling Vanilla Ice Cream. They asked if I wanted nuts with mine, I said "leave it out"!
14.
Was she a Jazz singer?
Yup
15. Alas I fear he may no longer be with us: "Hey Joe, where you going with that gun in your mouth"....
16. Billie Holiday worked so hard at her career that she never had a holiday. (She would have called it a vacation but the fact still stands)
17. Do I detect a "Jazz" influence creeping into "The alternative Rock Factfile"? I might have to seek a ruling from a Mod....
18. There is actually no-one in 60's Popsters ManFred Mann called Fred. The band are however all men
19. I'm waiting on a Micromark arriving tomorrow or Wednesday so will report back. I think it is smaller than the TC, but less powerful too.....
20. I have 2 X 15" speakers connected to my Laptop. Everything I listen to online sounds awesome....! Edit: I meant to say 2 X1.5" speakers but you get my drift?
