1. Despite 1988's Spirit of Eden being hailed a masterpiece, Talk Talk split up not long after. A chance meeting with a mobile phone wholesaler however opened up a lucrative new career for them.
2. Sister Sledge used to only Tour in the Summer so they could indulge in their passion during the Winter. However they then became fans of One Day Cricket so now just fit a few dates in in the late Spring and early Autumn. Patriarch Percy has now retired.
3. Billy and Bobby Alessi, otherwise known as The Alessi Brothers have met with Rugger-Bugger and London Lord Mayor Boris Johnson today. Keen to improve Cycle Safety around large HGV's , he has used their 1977 hit "Oh, Lori" as the soundtrack to a new Advert to be shown on ITV London
4.
Where are you?
Says Croydon.

6. Just go for it. What's the worst that can happen? You won't be the worst who's ever played there and you won't be the best, but its the taking part that matters. I try and find OM's which other Bassists shun, so I can play all night!
7. Top Bassist Stu Hamm was a Shakespearean Actor specialising in playing aged characters before turning to music "in between" engagements.
8. 60's keyboardist Brian Auger worked as an engineer before taking up a successful music career.
9. Herbie Hancock still drives his old white VW Beetle with the 53 stripe on it despite having enjoyed multiplatinum success.
10. Follically challenged Jazz Songstress Dee Dee Bridgewater tends to stick to one key for her entire music repetoire.
11. I think the parts have long been sourced "worldwide" and then initially assembled in Italy and now Indonesia. Marco is "Marco Markbass" on here but he hasn't visited for some time. A PM perhaps?
12. Yes, it's a tricky situation, you don't want to shell out too much at first but when you get a decent amp/combo, it will sound so much better! Paradox is that unless you play with others, you'll never need a powerful rig. Wait till GAS hits you too!
13.
Okay... how about the Vox AC1 RhythmVOX bass amp? Y'know, the mini amp... http://www.guitargui...=11069999990203
Battery powered...will sound weak and puny. Unfortunately decent power 80-100 watts plus and at least 10" speakers generally means a decent sound, Low power and small speakers ( there are expensive exceptions) will generally sound crap. If you have to go with those 3 options you listed, get the 25w one but don't expect it to sound loud enough for anything than solo practicing . It will struggle over a guitar and live drums
14.
So was it Little Feat Feat Feat???
No, that would be just plain silly.
15. 7 of the Top 40 Hits this week are all sung/co sung by the artist "Feat". "Feat" when she was young was known as "Little Feat" and enjoyed a successful career with Lowell George et al. However she wanted to do her own thing and now works in a variety of different genres, usually as one of three singers. Despite closely guarding her identity, "Feat" has enjoyed more single success this year than any other artist bar none including Lady Gaga. "Feat" regards the music business as transient however and is rumoured to be considering a career in Podiatry.
16. Welsh Girl Band, "Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwll-llantysiliogogogoch" enjoyed no success as DJ's were 10 seconds into their songs before finishing pronouncing their name. Following a foreshortening of it, their first hit came with "We Got The Beat"
17. Crosby Stills Nash and Young all had concerns in 1970 about their newest album sounding too like their previous one. It was eventually released to critical acclaim however.
18. Italian Covers band "Il Divo" were so named after they experienced a bout of food poisoning from some dodgy prawns on a Marinara Pizza they all shared.
19. Ben Folds Five used to while away the hours after sound checks and before the gigs making origami birds.
20. All the members of "Frankie goes to Hollywood" were actually keen 10 Pin Bowlers .
21.
John Lennon and Macca first met when John got a summer holiday job at the McCartney family's quarry. The two young musicians got on so well that they decided to form a band and call it the Stonemasons.
I heard Mick and Keef worked there too and their suggestion of "The Rolling Stonemasons" caused their swift departure to another Quarry across the Mersey
22. Paradoxically "It Bites" were big Soup fans and pre gig would love to sit down to a nice bowl of Minestrone. A chance meeting with Lol Crème from 10 CC inspired one of their biggest hits.
23. I also forgot to say that I always take a spare Bass because it gives me something to do (Tuning it) when all the others are bringing in and setting up the PA and Lights.
