1. He obviously never sends anything by courier for him to say he does not know the cost of postage, ....someone remind me of the name of his company...?
 2.
Prepare the wicker man.......he's not even plugged in! Like the balalaika though, I might have to get one.
Wonder what size case the balalaika would fit in....?
 3.
Had Van Morrison not changed his delivery driver job two weeks before getting signed, he'd be known as Van Ocado
That's the spirit...!
 4. I'd guess so but I've got a horrible feeling my Totnes gig in March 2015 is going to be not "The Section" although it did say "Full band "too. Having said that have bought the CD and will enjoy her anyway.
 5. I have a number of alternative rock facts that I thought I'd share with my fellow chatters. Please add to this list, as it is not exhaustive: The Bonzo Dog Do Dah Band were actually formed in Barking and once featured youthful Jarvis Cocker When Dr and the Medics broke up the founder members went on to form The Cure Steely Dan were originally called Steely Don after Donald Fagen's steely glare. They changed their name after record company pressure After Heaven 17 broke up they went on to reform as East 17 Paloma Faith is actually an agnostic After Le Ann Womack left Womack and Womack and Womack, they reverted to Womack and Womack. Carole King abdicated her title and has enjoyed a musical career ever since. Van Morrison used to drive a white van in Belfast and the name just stuck. Neil Diamond is the hardest man alive currently. One Direction used to rehearse in a studio on a One Way Street. When asked to come up with a name that's all they could think of.
 6. There's been a thread on this before, suggest a search "Roland Micro Cube RX" will yield a shedload of info!
 7.
That's my spare that I keep garaged in St.Andrews, for when I visit to play a few rounds.
All that sea air is bad for a garaged car, do you want me to take it out for you whilst you're away? Just send me the keys to webuyanycar.com.....!
 8. There's been a thread somewhere on here where someone bought a "décor only" bass from Thomann and it was absolutely fine, only some tiny visual faults.
 9.
If you do you'll have something to fall back on when your playing days wind down. When I played bass five nights a week this is what I drove from gig to gig: I don't gig much anymore, but I play golf seven days a week, and this is what I drive to and from the course:
How do you get on with the right hand drive and UK registration plates in New Hampshire..... ?
 10. Funny I saw a DPD van today in Hindon, Wilts and thought, I didn't know they delivered on Sundays now....
 11. I think they must have particularly strong drugs down in St Austell....
 12.
Looks like a jazz bass with a scribble on the headstock.. Lovely colour though
Looks blue on my monitor, apparently that's green....
 13. [sup]Maybe genuine neck, but is the bridge MIM?[/sup]
 14.
I did do an Adam Clayton search and nothing new was highlighted in the results. Oh well.
Here you are, fresh from my Inbox.... http://www.fender.co...ass-MainFeature In it he mentions Jamerson, Simonon, Hooky and JJ Burnell, none of whom play a Jazz...?
 15.
I tend to go with a wing and a prayer. Gotta love those Nando's chilli wings. Probably my best work yet but I tend to get looks from other customers when talking to myself in Nandos.
Can we put this in quotes of the year? I'm still trying to work it out...! God only knows?
 16. This thread deserves to go off into 'Chat posterity, rather like the Two Ronnie's and their (4) Handles....maybe it could be pinned?
 17.
You should hear what he says about you ...
Joe Pasquale speaks very highly of him....
 18.
Thing about these head stock snarks; I have several cool looking bass guitars I gig with. I'm not going to compromise the look of the head stock with a snark. And with my eye sight I wouldn't be able to see the smaller display from that angle or distance. Blue
I find using it in stealth mode makes it hardly noticeable ( as per photo above)
 19.
That's great, that would be a cool thing to do, wonder how much a Fender neck is ! John
Quite a bit more than the HB Bass!
 20. I use a pitchblack ( although it is blue) and it is very good. It mutes which is useful. Also use a clip-on free from BGM in stealth mode ( I turn it so the clip takes it behind the headstock), just my OCD about these things....ably illustrated by Milty above!
 21. The seller says it's "Unique". Insert your own adjective.....
 22. Jah Wobble is in this months BGM talking about the Ovation..(spoiler alert)
 23.
Yes I probably am, but at least I draw the line at referring to Miles Davis as "Miles"
Try using "Davis" then....!?
