1. Glad we sorted the scale length out..I've just been to mine to check the neck (as I did not read the thread to the end) and it's 34" too!
2. Let Wiki /Google be your friend... http://epiphonewiki.com/index.php/Accu_Bass
3. Not surprisingly a 5 stringer is all I play..... and as our set is 95% covers it enables me to play most of the set around and above the 5th fret. Simples
4.
its da wheels, boss!
Yup, photo-shopped (with the owners permission I hasten to add!)
5. With you being American you'll know all about "Zoot Suits"? This is how we murder that look in the good old UK. You have my sincerest apologies and see if you can spot anything really weird about the photo ( and I don't mean the costumes)!
6. I thought Warwick were the greenest bass manufacturer? http://www.warwickbass.com/en/Warwick---Company--Environmental-protection--Environmental-protection--Our-commitment-to-environmental-protection.html#current_site_id
7. Having just watched U2 on Graham Norton ( yes, I'm so rock n roll), unless my TV sound is crap, the old adage about how you need to amp up an Acoustic Bass to hear it over an acoustic guitar, was never so true....he may as well have been playing a rubber band.
8.
Yep, Neil Stubenhaus. As well as all the adverts, TV and Film scores, his album credits list is pretty impressive. One of the real Studio masters. http://www.allmusic....0379683/credits Take it away JT.
Chuffin heck! I genuinely( and honestly) went to bed last night thinking I bet he chooses Neil Stubenhaus in the morning and you did! I know it sounds trite to say that after the reveal, but I reckon I must have a 6th sense!! Scary or what? Now if only I could do the same with the Lotto.....
9. It could have been worse, imagine Peter Crouch straddling a P Bass.....?!
10. The PJ's are quite heavy ( at least my old 5 string one was)!
11. Or these and they do a cheaper one too: http://www.dv247.com/guitars/jandd-yc-pb-4-string-bass-guitar-3-tone-sunburst--201745
12. You are correct but there was no intention to mislead on my part....
13. Maybe the Royal Navy should bid for it, we've no aircraft carriers at the moment....
14. Played on Back to Black (Amy Winehouse) Unorthodox Jukebox inc Locked out of Heaven (Bruno Marrs) Speak a Little Louder (Diane Birch)
15.
Find a mate with an attic and try your best not to forget about them!! No need to detune them and feel free to store any way you like. Truckstop
Can't think how an attic would be any better than a storage facility? It could be cold, damp or too hot just as much as a Big Yellow. It could also have mice or bats like mine!
16. All the best Pete, hope it all works out for you.
17. Yes, but its much lighter than a Fender Precision or Jazz to play.......!
18. Why are you buying a new strap lock? If you got the Bass from Thomann there is a 3 year guarantee, if you got it elsewhere there is a 2 year guarantee. Keep your money in your pocket!
19. Acupuncture may help also : re a homeopathic remedy Ruta is the remedy for tendons, Mrs YFS said she has a few spare if you want some sending rather than buying tube at c£5 in Boots?
20. If Flea copied one of my bass lines, I'd be sick as a [s]parrot [/s]Budgie
