1. In the interests of balance: "P-bass good copy with overhaul and full pro set up on new strings" AVOID sold me a piece of junk, that was unplayable and crackled the whole time! Only 1 bad feedback in 117
2. I'll just get in before the lockdown......
3.
No need to hold off. I was discussing this with MSL today, I can update you at the weekend... Sadly won't now have the Multi Amp at the weekend as it has sold so well they have no UK stock or me to borrow.... ah well, I'll just bring my CMD151 combo and new york cab rig you may then wish to re-consider 15" yourself..!
I'm hoping you can read out a prepared statement, what a coup for the Bash...!
4. Yes they look nice, just wonder if the extra £15 for the J&D ones from DVD247 that gives you a coloured body is worth it?
5.
Keith, Yep, I can make it. Looking forward to meeting other players from the dark side.... G
Great. Dark but dry...!
6. http://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_jb_20_sb_standard_seri_deko.htm Not sure why they say it is unplayable, just wonder if it could be used?
7.
Or drive a few miles further west on the A30 and there is the Babylon Hill shopping area in Yeovil.....or shouldn't I have mentioned that.
There's even a TK Maxx..., whatever that is...!
8. Assuming the weather is good, Sherborne is only 5 mins away and there are lots of nice tearooms, an Abbey and a few open shops...!
9.
Good call Keith, that's a nice coup. Crimson guitars are brilliant!
I prefer Gold.....
10. Bash Update News Local Luthier Ben Crowe will be joining us on the day, bringing a Perspex Bass he built for Charlie Jones and a selection of the set-up tools he sells on his website:http://crimsonguitars.com/ . He will happily answer questions so we'll do a little Q&A session too.
11. Wasn't it just a couple of years ago that someone forgot the lyrics to the Stars and Stripes..maybe that's why they pre-record things?
12.
I expect I'll be the only one bringing a Fender Jazz again.
It's a dirty job and someone's got to do it.....
13. The sanding sheet you got should have some numbers on it: 40-60-80-120-180-240 etc. You will need to go to a lower number than the sheet that caused the damage to get the scratches out. Work through the different grades to a high number as the higher the number the finer the grit ( and the harder to remove scratches ) but equally the more you remove the less of your neck is left, so its a balancing act! Don't use the sheet with your finger, get a small wooden block, wrap or stick some of the sanding sheet on it and gently sand off the scratches but don't just sand in one place or you'll cause a flat spot. Using fine steel wool will give you a satin finish but with any abrasive media, the more you sand, the more you take off the original neck finish....!
14. The almost bigger insult is the postage price...!
15. Yes, I bought a MB TTE head and after pulling the trigger realised it was wider than the MB 210T cab it would sit on. Had to buy a MB 151 RJ cab then...still I have extinguished the GAS for a little while now!
16. Someone wanting £400 on eBay at the moment for a 4 String Groove, an ambitious price I'd say....?
17. Just to be peverse, why does this even exist? http://www.promenademusic.co.uk/brian-may-bass-cherry
18. I am the same as you, until a bass or Cab/Head I have shipped arrives safely, I cannot relax! Bit of a cop-out by the Seller as it shifts the responsibility from them to the Buyer. I guess if it is a Collect Only item and they can't be fussed with postage then it's understandable but does not make the item more saleable ( unless its a 66 Jazz for £1500)!
19. As the seller of the Furch now has my old Godin A5, all I would like to add is that he is a good guy and if you decide the Bass is for you, he can be trusted with the transaction. He's bought and sold quite a lot of stuff on here but not done any feedback until I mentioned it...
