1. Bit of a guilty pleasure was Rudimental, enjoyed both their numbers! Haim and Mel C too. Mumford and Sons not so......!!!
2. Last time I was offered a gig in space I turned it down, there's just no atmosphere........
3. Stopped using it once I realised it was making me anxious very quickly during gigs...
4. £480 at GAK though not black pearl.....
5.
I like the song, but not so much the vid
Click on the video, then close your eyes for 3 minutes...
6. One of the highlights of my teenage years going to Newcastle City Hall....the M O. Don't remember much except it was loud!
7. [sub]Quite a few sellers do this, presumably when they are out of stock. It keeps the listing in the public eye and gives us ample fodder for ridicule.... double post![/sub]
8. Well the £7.50 collected will not go far to boost the Christmas coffers in that house....
9. Only just heard this, it's my Christmas anthem....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6Sxv-sUYtM
10. There will be a Guest Speaker.. who is yet to be confirmed!
11. Owen Biddle on Bass 'though he's left the Roots now. Betty Wright is S Curve Records and was heavily involved with Diane Birch's first album " Bible Belt" too. Thanks for the recommend, will buy with my Xmas money..!
12. The details are in the Dorset and Somerset Bash thread pinned at the top of the Lounge.
13. Not a name I have heard of, but was taken to see Acoustic Alchemy at the PIzza Express Jazz Club on Friday night as my Xmas treat from daughter 2 and him and his brother on drums were in the band. Lots of really nice technique: thumbing like Jamerson, finger style and slap then a tricky scat section al a George Benson, just him singing and playing the Bass in unison. He's based in the States ( there's a huge list of people he's played with) and comes over every year for these gigs. Had a good chat with him, afterwards, really cool guy. He was playing his PRS GG Bass which he helped design. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xU7rmewcrjE
14.
because I got a £30 discount on the B3. Do keep up
Yes, you can never have enough Compressors....!
15. There's about 5 Compressors on your Zoom B3 so why did you buy another one...?
16. [sub]Heard a 5 string one played in anger by non other than BC member Yolanda Charles a couple of months ago. Had a rosewood neck, she was swapping it for a maple neck. She'd been doing some promo for Fender with it but stopped short of saying she was an actual Endorsee! Sounded good in a drum, bass and guitar trio setting.[/sub]
17. First thing I'd do If I had a £1k amp go down and I was gigging would be expecting the supplier (shop) to loan me one until it was returned....
18. As Talkbass British Bass Player #20, that might explain why my Inbox is rarely troubled.....
19. It takes me all my time just to stand up straight and play........!
20. I was tempted to like the one of the guy sh*gging a sheep whilst playing a Squier just for the shear hell of it.......( I'll get me fleece)
