1. Seems a lot for a no-name Chinese copy?
2. I had a package sent to me First Class Recorded Delivery yesterday and it has not arrived: thought this thread may throw some light on it...
3. I like my new Star Bass, it looks very like the avatar photo.....
4. Yes, for real, the strings and photo, not the trip to SF etc, still working on that with him!
5. Just like to say a big "Thanks" to Tac England and Rocco following my question. It was really great for them to fly me across to San Francisco, arrange for me to go to a TOP gig and have a personal Bass lesson with the great man himself..................................................................................................................................................I wish! However, the next best thing was a parcel that arrived today with an autographed photo ( of Rocco) and a set of 5 Ironworks Bass Strings in an autographed tin. http://www.mjcironworks.com/new-products/ I'm chuffed to bits!
6.
Also when you open the 'Report item' page the buttons aren't clickable. Very odd indeed.
Yes I noticed that too!
7. You'd think they'd have covered the neck as well...?
8.
MB1. ...Convoluted egg profile!
Nah, no good , they're not Free Range...
9. Surprised the free Tuner has been left as new, seems a bit inconsistent.....!
10. Has to be Motown and James Jamerson. Remember school disco c 1967 and hearing "Reach Out and I'll be there" and thinking "that bass line is doing interesting things" and "I'd like to be able to do that". 46 years later I still aspire.....
11. "Main defect was a broken end tuner".......are you sure? It would seem to my untutored eyes to be that hot rail stuck in a p-bass gap at a horrible angle. But what do I know.....?
12. What a bargain...if your original ones are broken and you need authentic ones to replace them....!
13. No worries, it must be pretty unusual for 2 people actually wanting to talk to the Bassist.......!
14.
The antidote to 'I forgot my amp, its cool to use yours yeh?' people. http://www.thomann.d...ers_unilock.htm
No-one would share a bill with us....!
15. Looks like the Berri then although I may sneak in the Gramma too!
16. Just chanced on this: http://www.thomann.d...a75f741d6f3becb I like a nice tool...
17.
gramma pad? http://www.thomann.d...tics_gramma.htm
Good suggestion!
18. Why not ask him, he's on here a lot, same name!
19. Yes, used my Stagg EUB and 5 string in last band, Jazzier stuff on the Stagg and rockier with the 5 String Bass.
20. Thanks so far, but got headphones, like to hear my bass through big speakers, enough strings ( I change them once a year whether they need it or not), drummer records gigs, got enough straps too....! Looks like the Markbass stand or the Behringher BDI-21
