Bought a GLX Bass Limiter ( Boss Clone) new for £25 and used on battery is virtually noiseless. However used with my 9v 300ma power supply it makes a right racket. Likewise, have borrowed an albeit cheap DC Power Bank and plugged that in for its 9v 100 ma and it makes a horrible noise too. Having read the threads about having a decent power supply ( isolated and regulated) do I need to spend double the cost of the pedal to get something noiseless? The noise within the signal chain appears to come from the mains adaptors and not the pedal...or is that the core of the problem? Any info would be useful, have tried the amp and the power supply on separate mains circuits simultaneously.
Looking at the website ( which is surely the purpose of the OP's message!!), not sure why I would want to customise the amp in a different colour for an extra $200. Looks fine in black. Interested in how it sounds however.
You could go on a Jon Shuker Course which as well as you getting a Bass to your own design, gives you a really good insight into how everything "fits" together. I did the Shuker course then worked elsewhere as an intern with a Luthier for over 3 years. I would also say even after years of making Basses, many Luthiers are still working on minimum wage ( when you take into account the number of hours go into making a bespoke instrument) so to do it you must love it and not think it's an easy way of making money! There are some Luthier courses at the London Colleges and of course reading the eBay ads of Mark E Phillips should give you a good insight too! There's a lengthy thread in the eBay lounge on him...
Just a word of caution: a lot of these so called "runs" of Art are actually not done by said Artist but by minions to the style of the named Artist. OK, they may have his signature but they are unlikely to have been done by Mr Hirst. Now where did I put that can of Campbells Soup.....?
Why not speak to some of the UK Luthiers and have something adapted or to your own spec? ACG, Shuker, could be starting places? Re GAP, is that what all the students do a year of before they enter the world of (no) work?
Deliberate...quite a few eBay retailers do that when they don't have stock, maybe just to keep a presence on the listings? Had my Microphone bracket break for the second time on my top end Hercules Stand at the weekend. Dropped Hercules ( Strings and Things) an email on Sunday, had a helpful reply Monday with a request for my address and a replacement with me on Tuesday morning at 10 30 am! Can't do better than that?
Just reading the descriptions, I'm starting to get the feeling this is someone we all know and love......? Am I right? No- it must be a dopple ganger who feeds on the same bovine waste.

The attendant was wearing a Rolex too, wondered if we might have to "cough" " drop some loose change"!
