2. Here is my powered 150 watt Laney CP 15 Monitor complete with passive slave which I think boosts it up to 225 watts? They are covered with carpet and it's a bit worn in some places but both speakers are fine and everything works as it should. There is a mic in, line and link out and because they are 15" speakers, they have hardly been driven by female vocals. I've had these from new for at least 10 years and to be honest they've just been sat around for the last 5 years! They can be used as a small vocal PA due to the presence of an XLR mic in. I remember these cost around £450 when new! PS Both cabs have handles and rubber feet!
3. Well, as per the photos really, quite old with rails for 3 units up the front. Both catches are fine and it has a carrying handle. Reinforced metal edges and I think wooden construction.
4. Pino is still out there working: he plays on the 4 tracks produced by Rick Rubin of the new Adele album "21"
5.
Actually he speaks very highly of you.
Wasn't that Joe Pasquale? BTW did anyone ever flame Georgie Fame and the Blue Flames when they came on here?
6. As well as there being a selection of Mark Bass Amps and Cabs to try on the day ( they hope to announce a special Yor-Bash 2011 discount for purchases at the Bash), Mark Bass have kindly agreed to donate one of their super new pedals as well!!! Watch out for details of how to buy your £10 entry in advance, order your Yor-Bash 2011 t-shirt and get your free ticket to the Raffle. Those who buy on the day may not get the t-shirt size of their choice and definitely not have their name printed on the back! Jon Shuker is hopeful of attending and will be showing the new Shuker Satinline Bass.
7.
anyone going from s.wales?
Would be good to see you but there must be closer to you Bashes than ours?
8.
Mind if I come along? Someone will need to explain the rules/etiquette for these things?
The only rule is NO SLAPPING! Otherwise A: Just turn up with whatever you wish, set it up and then fend off hords of admirers who want to try your gear/ talk Bass with you B: Just turn up with no gear and look/try out other's gear C: Go to Bass Gear Ltd area, try out one of their bespoke US Basses or Mark Bass Amplification and buy it! BTW details re admission will be posted shortly!
9. Are there any strings that do not have silk windings out there please? I'm building a headless EUB and the ball ends will be up at the Nut end. Clearly I won't want brightly coloured silk windings under my fingers...! If they all have windings then I do have a Plan B however but it's not as neat a solution.....! Be greatful for any input, thanks!
10. I went off Paul Simon when he started to appear in "Community".....

12. I boiled some eggs today, does that count? If you use meths, don't let it get too hot! I once had a flambe situation which singed the cooker hood!
13. There are sellers on ebay from China who do them for around £50 plus tax to your door or people like http://www.touchstonetonewoods.co.uk/ttwp25.html do them as well, but around £100-£164 depending on quality.
14. That's a bargain for a neck of such quality and provenance. Looks like the type of thing you'd sell a kidney for......?
15. Not so sure about the pickups, looks like they have been put in crooked.....
16.
I personally have a phone phobia. I hate phones - this stems from a job I once had whereby if my personal line rang it was always a problem, hence I associate phones with problems. But I digress.
I had something similar with "trim phones" which stemmed from a job I had when if it rang around 10.00 pm it was the night shift ringing to complain about something to me. It took me some time to hear a trim phone ring and not have my heart in my mouth!
17.
Worst one I ever did was unscrew a mic stand too quickly. It came down and trapped the pad of my right hand, taking a chunk out of the flesh. Still have the scar to this day. Bloody painful.
I'm a bit confused with your comment as above your photo it says "attached thumbnail"......
18. Is it just me who feels JH does too much "Boogie Woogie"? I watched until 12.15 and then went to bed: there was nothing that made me go "WOW" although enjoyed Rumer and Simple Sisters the most. Kylie sounded weird, like she had lost her voice and replaced it with a squeek...or is that her live voice?
19. I never noticed, must be because my monitor is B&W too......sorry , need to pop out and out some more logs on the fire to generate the steam to power the flywheel to turn the generator!
20. I called in on Jim Fleeting when this video was being made... thought you may like to see it! It's on Yorkshire Telly ( not TV!) http://yorkshiretelly.blip.tv/file/4507479/
21. Played a gig earlier this year on the evening of the day I sliced my left hand first digit with a paint scraper. At hospital they were just going to leave it but once I explained I had a gig they stitched it: I was worried the anaesthetic would not wear off in time before the gig as it was numb.... that was OK but had to cut up a rubber glove and put it over the stiched bit and just leave the tip free for fretting. Needless to say copious amount of blood leaked out during the gig, my maple finger board was covered in blood and as it dried got stickier and stickier. After the first set we had to use a wet-wipe to clean up the strings and fingerboard! I've still got a lump on my finger where it did not heal properly........
22.
Yes i am mega youtube posting but i glued my hands to my Mac this is great.. very Carpenters, dont suppose she meant to.... lovely soul in this track.. what a beautiful voice she has.. the only thing thats missing is some slap.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jvYUfwMBCrU
She ticks all my boxes and produced by Steve Brown who did half of Corinne Bailey-Raes first album. Rumer is a huge Burt Bacharach fan too.
