1. Chuffin heck, John Cleary and his smokin funky band from N'Orleans including Cornell Williams on Bass appearing at Ripley Town Hall near Harrogate for £12 quid!!!! I've seen him twice on his own including in Central Park New York, and twice with Bonnie Raitt. Well worth seeing for that Alan Toussaint/Dr John/Meters type funk. I love the internet at times like these! Link for tickets: http://www.ripleyblues.com/
 2.
If I finish packing my case I might venture across the Pennines - assuming those of a red rose persuasion are welcome . If I do, I'll bring my Lakland Duck Dunn and Darryl Jones with me. I fancy seeing the Welsh T band on my way home - time permitting.
The more the merrier: at this moment in time I really don't know if 15 or 50 will turn up! Maybe I could rig a TV screen outside for those who can't get in? It could be wise to bring an extension cable ( not cos you'll be outside) but just in case demand for power exceeds the number of sockets! Got some interesting Bass Raffle prizes lined up too....
 3.
Your welcome, as soon as I see a bargain my first thought (well....maybe second lol) is to share it with my fellow string pluckers. I am in fact going to buy another one from them right now for my new bass rig Ian
He's sold out of the 2U now and only got 4 and 6 U left according to him last night....£15.00 each
 4.
Unfortunately it's a 'simi' hollow body, but for all those who are fed up with the amateur 12 string basses out there, it's unmissable!!
Do you think 2 people could play the guitar/bass simultaneously?
 5. Have you seen this from their shop, a 12 string semi bass.....? http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-PROFESSIONAL-TWELV...1742.m153.l1262
 6.
I'd love this to sit onstage, next to my rig. Not to use, of course . . . http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-WIDE-NECK-ONE-NECK...1QQcmdZViewItem
"INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING WITHIN 4-10 BUSINESS DAYS"! I wonder what it would be like to play?
 7. Saw Breaks Co-op either last summer or the summer before (time flies) and their Bassist had a really cool 5 string Attitude
 8.
How long would it take me to drive from stoke?
Assuming you don't drive a Lamborghini, around 1.5 to 2 hours, as it's around 90 miles.
 9.
Soory I won't be able to make this one as I'm booked on a gig. The gig is actually not too far away with The Welsh T Band in Skipton and it's a 5 o'clock start. Possible opportunity for the after-show party! It's at The Craven Hotel, Craven Street, Skipton, BD23 2AP More info on www.welsh-t.co.uk Hope the YorksBash is a great afternoon! David
Call in on your way to the gig!
 10. I've used Thomann ( had mixed experiences, OK on cheaper items but I had to push them really hard on a Variax they misrepresented) and Playback, who was the cheapest by far on MarkBass at the time.

 17. "Surely the whole plot would become pretty much untenable were you to try applying it to rapid (Rocco Prestia style) 16th-note stuff? Hope this one doesn't get lost! " I understood from reading the latest edition of BPM that is exactly what FRP actually does!
 18. I suppose you could call those nibbles "tribbles".......Taxi for Y5S?!
 19. I wonder if he's "on the road again"?
 20.
Hi, trying to make a plan to get there on the day but as I have my children on the day ( 6, 8 and 11 ) it involves convincing my girlfriend to entertain them locally for an hour so I can call in ( particularly want to to meet Bren Travis again as he is the person who taught me years ago and gave me the confidence to join my first band. He is a top guy and superb bass player ) Can you suggest anywhere that I can drop the four of them off local to the venue so that I can at least call in for an hour or so ( thinking of something like a pub with Wacky Warehouse type play area or a nice park ) Thanks Tony
Hi Tony If the weather is nice there is a nice park (Jenny Lane) with swings and walks to the moors 5 mins from the venue by foot and about 1 min in the car or there's Jimmy G's next to the Old Tramshed in Saltaire/Shipley for children who are not tuned into the great outdoors! http://www.thomsonlocal.com/Jimmy-Gs/29417...ompanyinfo.html. I've rung them and they are open Sundays! Cheers Keith
 21. Shame you can't make it but a good opportunity to bump for the weekend!
