Never mind that, have you tried looking for Crinkly Bottom, other than in the mirror after a shower? Oh, and you are allowed to leave the house now......😉 -

I had this on a PJ Bass, the trick is just to take a touch off either pickup with the tone control leaving the other one on full.

Baritone guitar for sale - question for mods
yorks5stringer replied to carlitos71's topic in General Discussion
Can't see a 'Guitars for Sale' lounge so I'd just put it under Basses, I'm sure I've seen a Fender Baritone there before.. but I could be wrong on all counts! -
That Madness Tribute act photo at the head of the page looks eerily like the actual Madness, you must wear masks?

Not as question to ask of ladies but..
yorks5stringer replied to Barking Spiders's topic in General Discussion
Last gig was in between lockdowns last year, me then aged 65. Demographic with this Americana Band was anyone who wanted to escape from their 4 walls! Earlier last year was just before lockdown with arranged jam band, audience more mature as venue and demogrphic from the small town is quite a lot of retired couples, but not exclusively. Dunno if I'll do any gigs aged 66 this year however... -
Another Squier with a Fender decal
yorks5stringer replied to ash's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
I love the way he shouts the listing apart from the word in lower case 'bereaved'. Particularly poor photos too but says 'Fender' in title and 'Finder' in text?? I know the modern Squiers do not have the string through ferrules, did the earlier ones? -

I've a delivery coming today, it's No 22 of the 69 my Yodel Driver has to deliver today. I've been listening to Jimmy Rodgers tracks all morning... Given the collection and delivery of any package is outside the direct control of the Courier Company ( i.e. in the hands of self employed drivers) the companies have to mitigate the risk of loss and damage. The fact they can sell you insurance which may or may not cover you is just another income stream, ker-ching!

MonoNeon guesting in with Scary Pockets
yorks5stringer replied to EBS_freak's topic in General Discussion
I really like the Scarey Pockets/ Pomplamousse ethos. They had a video on YT a couple of weeks ago showing how they manage to arrange and record 4 or 5 songs a day as that's the only way they can do it commercially. They start with a basic chord chart, pull it to pieces, do a couple of takes and film the video. Obviously there is a lot of post production too. The other lot doing a similar thing are the Hindley Street Country Band down in Australia, their Bassist is a badass! They are a lot less slick than the SP as the keyboard guy does all the setting up and post production but the performances look pretty good too. Just a side note, as well as Jack Conte being a millionaire, his wife Nataly runs the Pomplamousse band and without touring they are making $ that established mainstream bands would envy. RE them being essentially covers bands, they all seem to throw in a few jazz chords just to keep things interesting.... -
All the Courier companies sell their 'lost' and returned parcels to auction houses, it's big business. Go on YT and see all the reselllers both here and in the USA.
