  1. I blame Boris the Spider or maybe even Happy Jack?
  2. https://www.theguardian.com/music/2021/jan/20/brexiter-roger-daltrey-criticises-restrictions-for-musicians-touring-europe
  3. Dunno, all that signaling left me in the dark....
  4. I can only comment on my course which was 1-2-1, other formats may start elsewhere. Yes, I literally started with 2 pieces of wood which I thicknessed and squared off an edge, joined and glued on cap. I then made a body template and neck template from plywood (which I still have) by drawing Jons template on the plywood and then cutting it all on a bandsaw. There then followed finishing the edges to be smooth. That was day 1 . Here's a few photos of the first couple of steps. The plywood for the templates can be seen on photos 2 on the left handside under the the other wood and with pencil on the end.
  5. Who said German's don't have a sense of humour? This posting is the latest in the line of his clickbait..
  6. He has a supply of all the common blood types in the fridge and a box of Cadbury's Fingers too.....
  7. I did the week long 1-2-1 Course with Jon many years ago and stayed in local accomodation. As I lived around 60 minutes away I went down on Monday am, stayed overnight then went home Tuesday evening. Repeated this the next week so again only 1 more overnight and then went down on a Saturday to finish off but he was busier on the Saturday so was left a bit more to my own devices. As been said earlier, it does help if you know and have some confidence with routers and bandsaws and are very patient when hand sanding too. This is my 5 Stringer with Seymour Duncan soapbars and the Steve Bailey fretless loom and pots. It's worth mentioning ( as I'm sure I have done before) you don't get a Shuker graphic on the headstock but he's happy to take your design and print it off.
  8. Were they Pearl Jamm tee shirts?
  9. I always do that, and never walk on the cracks in pavements too....
  10. Never expected to see the phrases 'shorty' and 'strap-on' on Basschat....
  11. Apparently they get them in stock and they fly out, so for an extra £10 or so quid, worth the surcharge?
  12. Most Thomann PA stuff branded 'The Box' looks like Behringher stuff anyway
  13. That's a hell of a reduction for a slightly damaged corner, wonder if there is some internal damage too?
  14. The handling fee is for levying the 20% customs taxes. If you bought a Bass from the USA you would have to pay a handling fee to the Courier, irrespective of the customs/vat rate. As above!
  15. For some reason YT bombarded me with Khruangbin content in late Autumn last year but now its Ashley Neal Driving Tips and ' Officer Gets Mad After Issuing Questionable Commands' etc. BTW it's a wig.....
  16. I thought Melissa had let herself go a bit until I re-read the thread....
  17. Good to see the correct use of the word gets it through the profanity filter. Good job you did not say wombling...
  18. We put vinyl down in the bathroom to replace shabby old carpet, it really has made a difference.
  19. As you may not be acquainted with the Blur Bassist, for some time he has had a farm and is a cheesemaker and I suspect the clip was taken at his farm where the young lad who may have been working there on some buildings was not aware who the owner was....
  20. Well he's never in need of a place to stay the night. Just open the door on the back......
