  1. One other choice and it would be Pelham 123?
  2. Wave goodbye to your £3,800...... Like the OP has said: the seller ( 0 feedback) has not provided extensive photos nor serial number etc etc
  3. Back in the day had one almost the same, but with plain wooden pickup covers and an extra XLR? jack socket however.
  4. Over a £100 more than the gold one, must be special paint..?
  5. Hiscox cases seem to be velvet over foam internally. Not sure if the velvet will separate from the foam easily, if at all. I'd look out for one with a different internal colour you like, buy it and sell yours. If you don't want to lose the branding on it, then just suck it up as I think you may regret pulling your case to bits. I've modded non-moulded cases before quite easily where they have external screws and when I've wanted to raise or lower the neck brace position.
  6. Elephant in the room question: what happened to the neck? You had it advertised on the 'bay as a complete Bass last week only to relist it there and now here. Just curious! I ask as the owner of a 72 Tele Bass so I'm attracted to them....
  7. Yes, very odd as the body seems less likely to be kosher than the neck which was stamped. Revisiting the saddles, they appear to be corroded chrome rather than pressed fibre, the slightly better photo enables closer scrutiny now. It's also now described both as 1968 and 1969 which is reasonable but a little confusing.
  8. Ah yes, Talkbass, the site that had a 'Hot Chicks' in the audience' thread on which bands used to photograph their audience and posters used to comment on the vital statistics of said audience: sample- 'that hottie on the front row with blonde hair looked up for it'.....
  9. I wondered if Black Pearloid would look good?
  10. I've been busy with some scratchplate material and the Router...which do you prefer and why? Black -Stock Vintage White Tort? Or there is another colour pattern you think would be best?
  11. Ambitious but it's a shop, I'm sure they'd do a deal face to face (if that is allowed)!
  12. Yes, but they are from the very early ones- 51 onwards and they were only standard due to post war rationing. Wonder if the whole bridge is 50's as well? Should have the serial number on it.
  13. Got mine today but I'm sure I ticked the 'reliced' option..... Anyway thanks, they do what it says on the tin, incidently, where is the tin?
  14. Suspect the seller is not a player and is unaware of frets, neck bolts etc etc.
  15. Seems a little overpriced given the finish has been removed and the pickup is not date original? However if the bridge is genuine (pressed fibre) that must be from a much much earlier bass ( and worth loads) as maybe the Paddle Tuners which are earlier too? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324378318383?ul_noapp=true
  16. Thank you for the explanation, I can sleep now!
  17. Typical right winger putting Florists out of business.
  18. Yes, I played a similar scammer when a Bass was located seemwhere in the Higlands/Islands. I told him my brother was on holiday close by and he would be happy to look at it: and BTW he was a Policeman. The Bass became suddenly unavailable.
