  1. Bloody brilliant, first 10 seconds shows him playing with the pick cover in place, he does a glissando and it's vanished! Well worth the uplift on a normal Jazz Bass price....
  2. No Canterbury is not in Essex, I can scotch that rumour once and for all.
  3. Don't blame the Courier Companies, it's all these out of work musicians and actors taking up the jobs who are messing it up. I passed a Yodel Van the other day and the courier was literally yodelling, then as the My Hermes van dropped off my Next order today, the guy could not get his van re-started: I swear he was saying "my kingdom for a horse'..... Just to say I've just had a £1k Bass delivered by DPD next day and My Hermes have rarely disappointed me, but I don't live in a big city. Royal Mail have however lost a parcel on 48 tracked delivery to me despite telling me they delivered it 30 minutes before Postie dropped off my post.
  4. Think you might mean the Nut. Unless the existing one is the same dimensions (height and width) it may not be worth your while swapping them. However a couple of points: Most nuts are plastic and very cheap to buy. If you do have a bone one and it is the same width as for your new neck it is possible to remove it, just gently tap it out sideways. Levering it off will probably damage either the nut or the wood on the neck. It may not be the same height or have the string slots at the same depth as your existing one, there are plenty of YT videos showing you how to address this- take any height off the nut by sanding it onto a sheet of abrasive paper so the base stays flat. Nut slots can be re-cut deeper with old strings, nut slots can be made shallower with superglue and baking powder and then re-cut. Only lightly ( a drop of superglue) re-glue your nut in place just to stop it moving sideways as string pressure will locate it anyway If you go to the Repairs and Technical Lounge you'll also find more info! A final point, it is not so very difficult to make your own bone nut, just buy one of those dog bones, cut a piece off and get filing!
  5. Oh goody, have just the 2 of us got an invite to Scrumpymikes house for Sunday lunch? Shhh, don't tell the others, they'll only be jealous..... On a more serious note, vaccination does depend on everyone ( OK more or less) actually being vaccinated.......
  6. Good spot and £12.74 plus £1.49 postage direct from NWG rather than £19.99 through ebay....
  7. "Effective Vaccine, World-beating Track and Trace, Oven Ready Deal" : please excuse my scepticism!
  8. Pitlochry Knitwear would be a good place for a fleece
  9. I remember seeing Paul Carrack with Ace in 1974 or75 when 'How Long' was released.
  10. I got rid of mine on here earlier this year because it was just too bulky for me: I'm 6'4" and not too thick around the middle...
  11. Followed the link and I got $2 off my first purchase too...ker-ching!
  12. What's going on in the rectangular chamber on the reverse r/h side? Looks like a sink drainer....!
  13. They have 2 negative feedbacks, both where they accepted offers and both describe the guitars as 'botch ups'. Wonder how this sale will go...?
  14. Just got a Status Bass from Andy, great comms, loads of packaging and no issues with Eurosender/DPD either: picked up Thursday and delivered Friday. Expect Andy and I will be chewing Bass 'fat' and exchanging PM's (we are up to Page 4 now) well into the future! Buy/sell to with complete confidence.
  15. And that windscheater jacket is a Brand X....
  16. Don't look now dear, but that guy in the beige to your right looks like a famous bass player who's playing at the ceilidh house tonight..
  17. Either that or the bargain of the century Fodera!
  18. Are you a fugitive from justice and have thus avoided captcha for many years?
  19. Starts up the old debate again about a Shop knowingly selling what is obviously a knock-off https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Custom-5-String-Fretless-Bass-Guitar/383768901679?_trkparms=ispr%3D1&hash=item595a68b82f:g:PkcAAOSwH5tfbyqT&amdata=enc%3AAQAFAAACYBaobrjLl8XobRIiIML1V4Imu%2Fn%2BzU5L90Z278x5ickkxFtV7J5P58ubuVigtBH%2Fexpi1G6DfsQkDQvJyPQizxTDXfRmV1LdgmDOTIHAp9qmKC%2Bu0Jv0Kapfd4cEVAE2XX4auNDjgga4eQE1NNpQI8oIRkRMVdsl2XpAu6zLsznq%2BhWYhPEuFJnAQaERwMis%2Fyfw2V%2Fvpt7O0LOcj0%2B8hkbbKVRBXhGcQQ93tOlaHbDnvYShOPhA67Zu2ZljEtszjEGFMiM2L47Babn6axu2V%2BJYQK9UGLrPGvfv5M%2FKh2Ryf32XuU91V%2BU46vUIOEz4%2FP6HEm6uh8iVbHW%2FC7RqJYNDUIytWTfK3SgUSvpDaEndYgmelbCrJ3dVl9%2FHnz9Q62catvbvG2y95Ob1fAr5DkZJO%2Fs8%2FeMCAbRSqkM527zmQs8Y1aW9Rj5HERidKonghm0YWyaFWwq5hvQxqcRvd4KtUCpIxc66Hp2VeoWrAwQdiSH%2FXlC2%2FR2ynVa2ZHPnWFNsdbVo7EPz1Nx1ErBK95a3pwbLjvcC%2F1znwJvq1fK9J3TS8S2JcpiiwKdyS5l0X7hJ80OYYYjwhIu6HZoAMQZs2SFN3a0zEYACTa1NKWm05eOu0JPxtQcUnkGRRSldMXkhlWioeVXqXnsWqnOUttkCVE8InZI0IcbgYwq3uLHkv0q8VdBrA6eatEyg3cNAwORf%2F2VazeBYbLdSQUkLVsTqcdnsBys5611idEsLp5%2FONRsQjGL9o183J7gfau5276gttXpjLTsXm9II1o0yth6ivDhR83ZtJ%2Bg8JqcyCcPR|cksum%3A383768901679681d42f045e640639e562a2ea002dc32|ampid%3APL_CLK|clp%3A2334524
  20. Just seen the ad, well done that man!
  21. Had an item ordered on ebay with 48 hour Royal Mail Tracking. At 1.05 pm on the designated day I get a message from RM saying it had been delivered. Checked outside and nothing. Rembered that Postie has a hand held machine that scans the item so assumed they had scanned all the items for scanning earlier and it would be along with the snail mail stuff. 30 mins later the snail mail comes through the letter box but not the scanned item. Check with Postie the next day who said they definitely did not have a 48 Hour Track and Trace item for me yesterday nor today. Went back to the sender who has filed a claim with Royal Mail but I had to reorder item so £26 down at the moment.... So either it was misdelivered which is unlikely ( 10 houses on my road, Postie knows my name and it came up delivered 30 minutes before my other post), there is a computer glitch, or Postie is currently enjoying 500 gms of D-Ribose powder! Oh, and the package for the re-ordered stuff arrived as scheduled and through the letterbox too.
  22. .....and another pointless Status update, I've just bought a Status Bass.

  23. Why not be subtle and advertise for 'Band member with member'? That should get around the regulations...
