Might be worth changing The Eurosender Info as on 3 occasions I have used them, entering the 'Basschat10' discount code resulted in less than 5% discount.

Weird, I got this in a notiication from ebay as I check Telecaster Basses. The thumbprint photo is still the silver 51p but the link shows a Red P as you say.

Just go for the standard delivery. I've just gone on Eurosender, put in UK to UK, length 129 cm, width 19cm and height 50 , weight 10 -20 kg and its come in at 15 euros, add the insurance if you wish another 12-15. I've sent 2 basses via Eurosender in the last month to UK addresses for less than £30 each insured for £1000. One took 2 days, the other arrived the next day after collection, both by DPD. Oh and there's the Basschat discount which takes around a £1 off the price too. Both my Basses were in hard cases too. They load the next day delivery price hence your high quote!

Last time I used Eurosender when I added the discount code on a £28 invoice it gave me something like 96p discount.

It's more than a bump: for the £50 off I'd pay the extra.

I had a distorted sound from a Bass in a particular room, turned out to be a drawer front vibrating. Have you checked it occurs in different rooms?

I had an Ibanez Artcore 5 stringer which was 32" and on Flats the low B was pretty poor, on rounds a little bit better.

Around 2012 I bought a NOS Warwick Pro Series Indo 5 String Star Bass in Gold ( I did debate between that and the Pelham Blue one) but traded it after I joined an Americana Band and got an Ibanez Artcore 5er in 2016. Always missed the Warwick tone and the Artcore had a very woolly B (32" scale). After a clear out a couple of weeks ago, I bought a 4 String Pro Series Indo Star Bass in Flamed Maple Burst and am very happy.

Just got the latest Jason Isbell recording 'Reunions'. Also got into Margo Price with 'Midwest Farmers Daughter' and 'All American Made'. Country with a conscience and both with some back story!.

You may find the string tension does mitigate against them 'wobbling around' at the nut. If you think about it, the nut is quite a long distance from where you pluck the strings and the bridge ( which as we know is fixed) is likely to have more impact by holding them in place? As said above, try it and see!
