  1. says he'll do it for £15 but don't know why he wants to put off BIN?
  2. After a lottery win? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1953-Fender-Precision-Bass-Guitar-Fully-Restored-By-World-Renowed-Clive-Brown/353076372149?hash=item5234fde2b5:g:ppQAAOSw09ZevRM8
  3. Maybe this , nice maple neck https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Electric-bass-guitar-by-freestyle/133424896975?hash=item1f10be5bcf:g:ARAAAOSw-Cte0nyH
  4. Marinus bought a Fender Blueflower P Bass from me. He paid straight away and sorted out the Courier to Holland as well. Great comms. and would I recommend him to anyone wishing to buy from or sell to.
  5. Ah yes, Blue Peter's 'sticky backed plastic'
  6. Further research reveals that Hanlon Custom Guitars UK do exist and Ronnie Hanlon is a Belfast luthier. He clearly did not make any aspect of this Bass from scratch however.
  7. Georg. bought a Japanese Fender 51P Pickup from me, he paid straight away and was an excellent communicator, usually replying within a few minutes. I'd do business with him again and he was happy to wait a little longer for the item to arrive in Germany.
  8. I had one of these ( an Indonesian) a few years ago and it cost me £230 from G4music new. Unfortunately it had a rattly truss rod and I sent it back for repairs , on the understanding it must not go back to Fender, (as I knew they would right it off) and I reckoned I could tame the truss rod with some silicon down the channel. G4M by then had given me another £50 off too. Anyway it went back to Fender who wrote it off... I played hell with G4M and they agreed to pay for a replacement but there were only a few about then as it had a rosewood board and they were no longer produced. There was one in the USA but CITIES put paid to that but I got a slightly damaged one from Zsounds in Germany that they were selling as 'new' and cost about £200 after I negotiated a discount too!. This is a longwinded way of saying I then sold it at a SW Bass Bash for around £175-200 s/h so £400 seems a bit rich
  9. Hate to be a pedant but that is not mine , no crack: here's mine and not so yellow either, I think the refin colour was vintage white?
  10. Paul bought a Buttercream Player P Bass from me, he paid straight away and great comms. all the way through the process. Don't hesitate to deal with him in the future, either as a Buyer or Seller.
  11. Just dropped him a message on ebay.
  12. Fine, did not realise Gibson had economised on that too! I stand corrected and as others have said, you need a new selector switch.
  13. The link was on my email above yesterday, they are the importers of Markbass to the UK and you get a full warranty too. I noticed it as I have just ordered some strings from them! https://www.mslpro.co.uk/collections/all-markbass
  14. I had a 5 string Artcore with the factory 'distressing'. You could hardly hear it unplugged solo and also alongside an acoustic guitar or percussion. Only with a small practice combo as suggested by Jean-Luc Picguard is there any volume to compete. Bass frequencies are too low to be heard unamplified with a small bodied Bass, even with an element of hollowness: I think the Artcore, from memory had a solid core? Tone wise amplified it was OK, but as said above a bit muddy, and the low B was not the best, this you might however expect on a short scale and I was on Flats too!
  15. They do come up, think I sold mine for £240 but as I say MSL have an ex demo at £271 with full guarantee
  16. I've just sent two basses away from Chez YFS. One was booked through Interparcel, the other Eurosender and both were collected and will be Couriered by DPD. Both boxes were Thomann ones at 130cm long and weighed over 10 kg.
  17. Just to ensure we are on the same page, your pickup selector switch should typically work: centre position 'both pickups', forward position 'neck pickup' and back position 'bridge pickup'. You talk about 'rythmn' and 'treble' but that is not what the selector switch does on a Bass although you will get a deeper sound from the neck pickup and a treblier sound from the bridge one.
  18. Those roof tiles look a bargain in his other sales!
  19. I put an Oil City bespoke one into my Blueflower reissue which had more tonality than the OEM Japanese one.
  20. I did see your post and looked at his site, but did not see a 72 Telebass plate however.
