  1. If that's the Squier air, it's made in Indonesia and is only worth £200
  2. There's a greyhound near me that barks at the slightest noise....
  3. Ah yes, I remember Emmedale, how's Annie Sugden getting on?
  4. I've noticed Lee often talks about doing jobs in his 'backyard' and it has conjured up a picture of a concrete paddock: seems it's a rather lush back garden!
  5. Adjusting the 15" speaker tweeter may not do that much as you have 2 X 10" speakers above it which will contribute more edge to the sound. You do realise the tweeter control is fairly subtle, as you speak as if you think it is for the 15" speaker itself? TBH if you cannot get a good sound out of that rig I'd be very surprised. Have you had someone else play it and you stand 30' away? Also your Gain looks as if it's at 10.00 o'clock. Have you tried it higher and has that livened up the sound? You can always dial back on the Master volume to compensate. Good luck, I'm sure others will be along to offer their input....
  6. As many of the comments say, he's been caught out by an algorithmn and he can challenge it.
  7. Been waiting for a number of items through Royal Mail for at least 3 weeks now. Having now contacted the sellers they are resending them as they have given them up as lost. Luckily they are all large companies and wil doubtless put in claims. Update: one package arrived today sent on the 15th by 48 hour delivery, half open and with 1 out of the 2 items ordered missing!
  8. Chancer. Pickup routing looks crooked and it looks like its made from 1 piece of wood and needs quite a lot of fine finishing.
  9. I had a Ninja 102-250 combo and a CMD 121P and swapped the respective heads . The difference was not hugely different on either and the Ninja was a bit harder to carry so swapped them back, sold it and got a 121 New York cab to augment the CMD121P when necessary. I had to swap around the internal 'cover' on the amps as the respective heads were a different orientation and not all the screw holes lined up. My rationale to swap was that with the 2x10's in the NInja was that the sound would be a bit higher up for me in a bigger cab rather than around my ankles as on the CMD121P
  10. That's exactly what I was saying too : 'They have the new Markbass strings which are made in Italy and not just re-badged US brands: apparently Markbass bought out an Italian string maker ' Where/why is there confusion over this?
  11. He's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy.....
  12. Given much of IKEA furniture is made from cheap chip board I would not have thought it is suitable for making a cabinet as the vibrations would cause all the fixings to loosen off?
  13. Not sure what you are saying? Try this link: https://www.mslpro.co.uk/collections/markbass-strings
  14. Noticed all the above on this site https://www.mslpro.co.uk/ which distributes Markbass in the UK. They have the new Markbass strings which are made in Italy and not just re-badged US brands: apparently Markbass bought out an Italian string maker and there's also some amps and cabs at discount prices, still with a 2 year warranty .
  15. This is a great episode with lots of anecdotes after the performance. Takes me back to seeing the Mahavishnu Orchestra in the early 70's and buying Spectrum when it came out. Didin't understand more than10 % of what they were playing at the time either!
  16. Well the seller was not burning all his bridges by posting it on ebay..
  17. Normal convention is to have the truss rod slot under the fretboard, not poking out of the rear of the neck. Firewood.
