  1. That doesn't look like new damage.. if it's held for some time should be fine.
  2. Al bought some Tuners from me. Instant payment and great comms. Recommended.
  3. Withdrawn comment as it was aimed at JB and not TW
  4. One of my bands was playing at the Home Farm Festival on Saturday and I went back on the Sunday to see the Truthseekers (Norm's band) and Reef. Truthseekers were ace, lovely songs and playing from all including Norm and I hung around to see Reef who were headlining. Imagine my surprise when Jack Bessant stepped on stage and attached this to the longest strap I've ever seen. I've not seen a 72 Telecaster played live since Kenny Gradney with Little Feat back in the 70's. (Historical note, I have a 72 Tele too).
  5. Could be why some display instruments in music shops are knackered?
  6. I put their addy into Scambuster who did not flag up any issues but as others have said, if it seems to good to be true, it usually is!
  7. Gladly: this gives you all the dimensions and I've checked on the actual tuner too! https://schaller.info/media/pdf/6b/a1/94/TZ_1026.pdf
  8. Here we have 4 X Schaller Tuners which were fitted as standard in 1976-82 to older American Fenders (in that they have the larger back-plates measuring 44mm X 45mm approx.) They come complete with the 4 ferrules and 16 screws as well. Whilst not box fresh they are in very good condition having had little use and are better quality than the US made 'Fender' stamped ones The £35 Includes Postage to UK mainland making these half the price of new ones.
  9. Just bought some Tuners from Colin. Exactly as described, well packed and great comms. too. A recommend Buyer/Seller.
  10. Years ago I was after a Project Manager to assist me when I worked for the local authority on a large change project. One of our requirements was for a 'blue sky thinker'. We made 'Pseuds Corner' in Private Eye with that!👎
  11. Err, did the last bassist walkaway?
  12. Surprised at the accolade for the SG as the Press last week was full of complaints about bad sound at the opening concerts 'Spice Girls fans have vented their fury over overcrowding and disorganisation which reportedly led to crushes at their gig in Coventry, England. The iconic girl group played the first of two planned shows at the city's Ricoh Arena on Monday, as part of their Spice World - 2019 Tour. However, fans complained they were left stranded outside in a car park, causing them to miss support act Jess Glynne. Others angrily claimed that, due to the delays, concertgoers were rushed through turnstiles without bag checks, creating dangerous and frightening crushes. "The crush and disorganization (sic) at the turnstiles was so bad I had a panic attack and had to be rushed inside by the staff. Not fun," one fan tweeted. "Thanks for nothing @RicohArena." The Twitter user later advised fans with tickets for Tuesday's second date at the rugby and soccer stadium not to bother turning up as the venue was unsafe. Another fan complained: "I'm really surprised no one got hurt as no bag searches and they opened the gates and stopped ticket checks leading to crowd surges!" Others reported scuffles with security staff and struggles to get home due to a lack of public transport options. The Spice Girls' comeback tour has had a rocky start, as the band suffered sound problems at their first concerts in Dublin and Cardiff. Despite the troubles, their manager Simon Fuller has indicated Mel B, Mel C, Geri Horner, and Emma Bunton are willing to take their trek global. "We can kick into gear at 24 hours notice," he told Music Week. "It was important for them to get back together and tour Britain, because there's such a connection. I'd say it's 50/50; if it happens, great, if it doesn't, then it's all been good."
  13. I always shave in order to look smart for gigs...but on a more serious note ( and this has been debated on the earlier thread), it takes a brave luthier to take that much out of a neck. Note sure about the set-up either, when the luthier played it it at the end, it sounded very fret-buzzy?
  14. My first rig circa 1977 was a Truvoice 50 watt amp (rebadged Selmer T&B) and a home made 'fridge' with a 15" speaker in it.
  15. Yes, the first thing I do when I buy a bass is put on a couple of metal covers that hinder playability...
  16. Bargains have been around £400 s/h for the CMD121
  17. I guess it depends how easy it is to remove the battery, if you have to unscrew a plate every time then it will a bit of a PITA?
  18. So did the keys do the basslines or at least the low notes? Pretty poor situation though, I guess if they had pulled the performance there would have been even more disappointed. Maybe speak with the Promoters?
  19. Certainly is Cool for cats today after the sun of yesterday. Maybe only cats listen to radio berkshire and the station are playing to their demographic?
  20. Well the seller says it is.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-Precision-P-bass-aged-relic-1974-body-62-Custom-Shop-pickups-new-neck/323818931872?epid=14010421268&hash=item4b651cc6a0:g:lDwAAOSwBPhc7E35
  21. Those ground terminals are for building it into a permanant installation when you want to avoid earth loops and have everything grounded from the same point. It shoudl be grounded through the plug.
