Should be good for some Spray Cats numbers then?
-
Yes, there were 3 , the first I held in Baildon, then we had 2 in Harrogate, maybe 10? years ago. I moved away in 2012 and there has been no more since......

I'd buy it but I'm a bit strapped for cash

Sounds like some of the bigger Bass bashes and also the events run in Manchester by Stevie Williams a few years before the London Bass Guitar Shows. 1. Yes, I had Scott Devine and Geoff give a masterclass at a Yorkshire Bass Bash many years ago before he was on YT. That was interesting and would be even more popular now too. 2. Workshops are well attended at the LBGS, let's face it anything to get away from all those slappers... the SE Bass Bash has had such luminaries as Herbie Flowers, John Bentley and Mo Foster I think. There are plenty of celeb Bassists in Scotland: Ewen Vernal,Johnny McElhone etc etc who may be interested 3. I expect Alan Cringdean from Moffat could be interested, it may be a bit hard getting some of the Southern Luthiers up there. Alan came down to a Yorkshire Bass Bash too. 4.You need to steer clear of other euro events and Namm to get the big makers along, we had the Northern rep from Markbass when it was with Proel at the YBB. 5. You'll need to sell a lot of tickets to get some of the bigger names along, if they are touring nearby it could help. I remember seeing Poogie Bell in Manchester, the venue was also the Music College so they piggybacked onto who was visiting. 6. I know the Manchester and London Shows were/are months in the planning and are run as a commercial venture with fees for stands etc etc. You may wish to set up a Scottish Bass Bash first to test the water, there is lots of info in this Lounge from those who have run Bashes. Good Luck!

I think the 'minor scratches mentioned at the bass' might have been mice....

As you've already looked on Youtube, there's plenty of tutorials showing how to fill the nut slot with superglue and baking powder in order to raise (if that's the issue)it. You'll then need to re-cut the slot mind or just replace the whole nut.

My 2018 Buttercream Player is flawless finish- wise, can't vouch for the OEM pickups as it came with 62 CS swapped in.

The Repair Shop - BBC1 - Bass Content!
yorks5stringer replied to spongebob's topic in General Discussion
Every programme of that ilk is the same. Same intro shots and if there are adverts or not, always a quick recap when you come back. i.e Countryfile, Salvage Hunters, Wheeler Dealers etc etc -

Not sure adding the neck pickup cover would make it easier for the novice to learn on it however? First thing I'd do is take it off! Nice sympathetic restoration however and it took some cohones to shave the neck down on a 1966 Jazz... -

Music (muzak!) in shops. Worst offenders!
yorks5stringer replied to Barking Spiders's topic in General Discussion
My Morrisons has a quiet hour on a Saturday morning from 9-10 where there is no muzak and the lighting is turned down too. First time I went in I thought there had been a power cut! -

Unusual P Bass-American Elite 2
yorks5stringer replied to yorks5stringer's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
Too lazy to check up in my Fender book before posting I then looked it up and as you say , standard Elite and as the seller describes, missing the fine tuners on the Schaller bridge. Even has the adjustable neck pitch hole in the neck plate. Not sure if it is walnut ( looks a bit light) but those must have had some heft! -

Yes, but absolutely no fret buzz. -
Played The Cider Barn at Draycott last night, not many in for 3 acts as it was so hot and people were away. Only the second time I have used my Chowny Hollow Body and the guitarist had not seen it before.. he asked what it was like for feedback, I replied most who had seen and heard it thought it was very nice😉

Aren't these type of things always stored 'under the bed'? I removed the neck on my Telebass for around 3 months whilst the body was refurbed, and just slackenedd the truss rod as in the posts above and wrapped it in bubble too. As I sleep on a divan I could not put it under the bed however....

Any questions? Mine would be what was the owner meant to be wearing on his right arm, chain mail? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Relic-Precision-Bass-Guitar-custom-painting/163643696046?hash=item2619eca3ae:g:27gAAOSwqCRcrjui
