1.
Any more info on the pre? Can't find it on the inter web Cheers
My bad wrote the ad in a hurry. It's a b64 preamp!
2. Interesting, My biggest influence is Code Orange Kid if you can dig it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpVa-x7YndY
3. Really Depends on how wide the nut is cut currently. Saddles should be ok. You really need to get the strings and put them on before working out if work on the bass needs done.
4. What are your influences for this project? I could be interested doing bass and vocals. ^^
5.
Would tuning a 34" scale bass to BEAD present any problems, or would it be better to do it on a 35" scale? Cheers!
Usually it is ok. Get the right set of strings. Some basses just don't like it. My Stingray is setup Drop C with standard Gauge and I like it. Just cant attack it as much. Alternatively you can always look at my 4 String LTD for sale in the classifieds. Rare 4 string with 35" scale!
6. Up for sale is my 2014 Fender Modern Player Jazz. Used for a few practices and a couple of gigs. I played 5 of this exact model bass before I bought this one and this was the best out of all of them. The Fender Modern Player Jazz's are now discontinued So are getting harder to come by especially in Sunburst. This is a TWO piece wood body, much better then the other modern players which usually have 4+ Especially important in a Sunburst model like this. Dual Humbuckers which can be coil tapped using the 4 position rotary switch. Low action. Great High mass Fender Badass Bridge. One slight ding on the back and near the neck pocket, so small I cant photograph it and it came like that from the factory. This things so new that it still has the protective covering on the Jack compartment. Comes with the original Fender Gig bag. £300 No haggling or trades, Pickup from London only.

Hey guys. Up for sale is a Neck thru LTD F-254FM bass project. Lovely neck through 35"(!) scale 4 string bass. Fantastic for drop tuning. Has Grover Tuners and EMG pickups/Preamp. Has some dings and scratches but no chips in the wood. Truss rod is A-ok and frets have plenty of life and has had a recent fret dress. Why is this a project? One of the tuners is bust and the output jack is not the best (Confirmed as a problematic jack by myself, it's not the actual electronics fault) the type of tuner needed is a typical closed back single screw jobby. Quite common. Comes with an LTD gigbag. I can split the Pickups and preamp if you just want the rest. Reduced now to £150 PICKUP ONLY from London. I will not post at this moment in time. No haggling or trades ta. (That is not a chip on the lower horn at the front, just a reflection)
8. Heya. Up for sale is two EMG-HZ Humbucking pickups and an EMG B64 3 band Pre-amp including wiring harness. I can include the jack socket with it though that socket is not 100%. Some light play/string wear on the pickups but working brilliantly. Lively sounding pre-amp. £65 Shipped in the UK. Cheers! R
9. Up for sale is a Pedulla truss rod tool. Near impossible to get without importing. It's in good condition, Light wood colour handle. It is what it is. £15 picked up in London, slightly extra for shipping.
10.
Would the Modern Player series have something to do with this? If Fender are getting good quality out of China, they have less need for Japan. Though, personally I think that if they have some Japanese production, there will be a market for people who want the instruments because they are made in Japan.
The Modern players have been discontinued, no more Chinese "Fenders" being produced.
11. Hello all. My names Rob and I am a Bassist/Vocalist, looking to form a Melodic Hardcore Punk band in the same vein as Strike Anywhere, Propaghandi, Belvedere, No Trigger and A Wilhelm Scream. I have linked one of my previous bands tracks to get some sort of idea of the musical style. https://soundcloud.com/robert-quick-6/hardcore-demo Looking for gang style vocals, big melodic chorus's. No egos, not interested in labels or management. A DIY Ethos. Whilst I can songwrite I am looking for equal collaboration with writing. I have access to a very cheap Rehearsal space in Manor House. So looking for two guitarists and a drummer (Vocals a big plus, lead vocals even better). You need to be fairly competent at your instrument, age not a massive factor (I am 29 myself). So if you are interested, hit me up!
12. Still haven't decided. I feel that the EBS does not have the full features of other compressors. The MXR is a possibility...
13. Bump!
14.
Blah, I don't think my Fender will sell quick enough to grab this off you. I'm actually going to London this weekend.
Shame I don't have the readies for the Fender!
15. Not that this thread is valid. The Ken Smith tone is synonymous with Gospel music to an extent and considered the ultimate gospel bass. Hence why it is used as a benchmark tone in this thread.
16. To improve on my original request, I am looking for something very aggressive with plenty of top end.
17. I can make any amp sound like my chosen tone with my VT deluxe bass. Go through return effects and it's fantastic. I couldn't do without mine. The single most useful piece of bass gear I have owned.
18. Hey guys. Currently wanting to invest in a decent compressor. I currently have an Ashdown Dual band. But was hoping to go single band with better threshold controls. The Markbass compressor is going for a great price but I hear it loses those high end frequencies that I love. What would be some compressors to check out?
19. Bump!
20. Hmmm... interesting. 33 1/2 inch scale if it's true to the original. Does the lower horn get in the way at the dusty end I wonder? Would be interesting for Stoner Rock!
21. I got an Indonesian one, brand new recently and it's 15KG or lighter.
22. Nope sorry, no box or time. Cheers anyway.
23. I think they are raising the standards of the MIMS to the CIJ's if not surpassing them in recent times. I find the CIJ's lacking in the pickups area.
