How much did that cost you ? Never seen one for sale..
The reason it took me so long to get one was because they are pretty hard to find at times! -
So this morning i wake up to see that UPS delivered a huge package today at the shop. I bring it back upstairs. Open up the box and in it is a huge hardcase. I try to get into the hardcase..... Its pretty hard to get into. There were no keys! I managed to break into one of the locks by using a paper clip, but the other being really stubburn. So i had to use a flathead screwdriver and break my way in, Not before i emailed Sebastard wondering why he hadnt sent the keys. (turns out it wasent a key system, But i had to line somethings up.) So anyway. I put the bass together, BC-Rich NOS USA Ironbird bass. Adjusted the Sky high action, And it plays and sound great. Though i think the wiring when both the pickups are on isent quite correct (Huge volume and bass loss) I will be sorting that out tommorow. I will be getting lightweight tuners and a real grippy strap, Maybe a strap pin reposition, Some DR Blacks Strings. Plus i will be sending the case to my case maker to get new (And better locks) Fitted to it, you wouldnt believe how easy it was to break the lock. So, After making a fool of myself and breaking into hardcases, I have a wonderful NOS (Never been played apart from in a shop and by seb for a few hours, NO FRETWEAR) USA Ironbird bass. One i have been after since i first started playing 4 years ago. I would like to thank Seb for his hard graft at fixing the neck pocket and sending it out here. And Lorne for all his "Wonderful" Advice ;-). PS, I dont think i will be respraying it Pink, its too damn sexy in black. Maybe when i get a Cheaper NJ model The pickups so far sound great, So i am undecided about Emgs as of yet.
Last time I went to the Bristol SC they had a very good stock of quality basses, I was impressed... but I got attitude by the bucketload from the guy behind the till when I asked for some strings. He tried to sell me Rotosounds and then implied that I was some no-nothing bozo because I said that I didn't like Rotos. I left the shop stringless, haven't been back. Went to Rikkaxe and was sold what I asked for.
Sounds about right, Even though Eugene at Rickaxxe cant sell a bass to save his life, he is a generally nice guy and great bassplayer. Its a pity Rich the owner is such a arsehole.

I have known for at least the past year the huge finanicial problems they have. I know the Bristol SC's manager and a freind of his. Basically yes your all correct, SC has expanded too quickly and failed to realise that unlike supermarkets who get loans to expand where 100% of the population needs food. Music shops are unfortunatly not the same less then 1% of the population are musicians, They took loan after loan and bought out a number of companys and they just cant pay back their debts. We thought they would have gone tits up last summer but have somehow managed to hang in there. The Bristol one is usually quite busy And with relatively good salesman (The reason i say salesman is because they only hire based on how well you can sell a product, Not how much you know about it). Expect a decent sale at somepoint.

Only had it for a little while but i guess its not really for me! Traded for it on a whim but realised whilst its a fantastic bass i really needed a 5+ string and thus has no use. IF they made a 5 string version of a Jag i would so go for it ! So anyway, Its in perfect condition. Comes with a Fender Gig big. Active passive controls, very clean. Barely been used. Comes with a newish set of 90-35's Its just had a nice setup Really quite a nice low action. Bass sounds like a Geddy Lee on steriods with a damn sight more versatility. I actually really like the P esq tones you can get from the Series switch. The active tone is very usable. All round a very good all round bass! FINAL PRICE. I will Trade/Part ex for a Fretted/Fretless or Pedals. (Apart from overdrives and fuzz's.) NEW PIC
