1.
Thanks for your expert sarcasm, when what I really would like is a bit of help and advice. As I said earlier, my sound, which has nothing to do with volume, is right for what I want, and the two Orange cabs can be very loud if required. I am only asking if any players have used, or are familiar with powered cabs, and can they be used to boost off stage sound quality, while at the same time keeping on stage volumes to a reasonable level. So forgetting what cabs they are, the sound from them, and the volume they can or cannot produce, are powered cabs an alternative to going thru a pa in a medium sized venue. Perhaps the laws of probability will eventually help answer a simple and straightforward question.
For smaller venues with small PA's your cabs should be more then enough anyway. For larger venues, they should have a decent PA setup where it would not need another powered speaker. Adding a powered speaker coming direct from your amp would really annoy any sound engineer I know because it takes away control of your volume from them. Also having a dedicated speaker for your bass would make it very easy for you to dominate the front of house mix even if you don't mean to and you aren't going to be able to monitor it because you aren't out front when playing. I have never seen a bass player add a personalized powered cab for the audience only to hear. I think what the above people are saying are right, they are giving you advice but they aren't really saying what you want to hear. You should be looking at the way the signal comes from your amp, the pre-amp settings (What sounds good to you playing on your own sounds completely different in a band mix, adjust for the PA not for what you hear on stage) or talking with the sound engineers to help get the audience facing sound you want to achieve.
 2.
That looks completely freaking awesome! That's the ACG EQ01 pre-amp? What do the switches do?
So 4 dual concentric knobs. Volume/Blend, Neck pickup Low pass/volume, Bridge pickup Low pass/volume and Global High pass/Volume. Small switch is killswitch. Large switch switches from Humbuckers, to Coil tap outer coils and to coil tap inner coils. I can then use the balance control if I want the just the neck single coil or bridge single coil.
 3. Thanks guys. I hope to give a full review soon. I just havent had anytime to really play it since receiving it. Safe to say, the amount of sounds this thing has thanks to the custom coil tapping and ACG EQ01 filter.
 4. I'll just put these here. http://www.waghornguitars.com/

 9. This bass will be Finished in the next few weeks. It's being cut back and polished. Hardware and setup to go!
10. Tom Waghorn of Waghorn guitars will build you anything you want as long as it has his name is on it. I have an RD copy being build right now with some changes.
 11. Since buying the Squier I have gone back for a set of Elixir strings. A Kong Pitch black tuner and Dunlop Straplocks. Knocking off prices automatically for me and good service again. Now I would love to buy that Peavey T45 they have!
 12.
HI, I am interested in your Delano soapbars. I have a set of Tonerider Jazz pickups I could partially trade for them. THese TOneriders are cheap but do not underestimate their quality. I have owned classic single coil and split coil Fralin Jazz sets and these Toneriders are right up there in tonal quality IMO. Very balanced tonally, and very articulate. How about my tonerider set plus £50 for your Delanos ? CHeers, Alan
Thanks but no thanks!
 13. Up for sale is a pair of Delano 4 string SBC HE/S humbuckers in EMG 35 casings. They have a little bit of playing wear on the casings. These pickups cost around £100 each brand new. Get a set here for just £70 (shipping extra). Alternatively I will trade or part ex for a set of aftermarket passive jazz bass pickups. Dimarzio/Seymour Duncan/Fralins etc. Hit me up. 14.
Never seen one of these before but the neck must be worth the £300 BIN price surely.. http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3cdf992289
And this one is Mr_Foxens
 15.
I feel embarrassed for not noticing this. Apologies folks. Would I be correct in assuming that all of the communication/long delays relate to basses that were offered as part of a low price deal? He seems to be extremely busy in relation to full price instruments (double necks etc). I myself was teetering on the brink of placing an order a couple of years ago...but in all honesty I wouldn't dream of it now.
Mine is one of the low cost deal types. Jon had said he has put mine behind other more recent orders that paid full whack. So when is mine going to get done as there are always going to be orders put ahead of mine? I paid for a service and I should get the same service that others get regardless of how much I paid. I heard of dudi recently asking for his money back because of the delay. Jon said he can't give the money back and would have to sell the bass before he could do that...
 16. Around about 17 months for me. Quoted 6 months initially.
 17.
Call Brent on 0779466833 between 11 - 4 Mon - Fri. They are extremely busy apparently.
Number is either wrong or disconnected. Tried the other number and went to answerphone.
 18.
That's a bit unfair, isn't it? Good song-writing has always come from frustration and deprivation, preferable experienced while living in a garret. Whatever a "garret" is. If you want good song-writing, obviously you need to live somewhere far less affluent than London ...
Telling it how I have seen it! Saw one great originals band at the Roundhouse when I first came to London, turned out they were from Brighton, but liked putting on their website that they were based in Camden for the cred!
 19. Living in London for a couple of years now. Haven't found one interesting band to join that made me go "Wow, I would put in the effort". Formed my own instead. Decent songwriting is almost non-existent. Bristol has/had much more interesting bands.
 20. A number of people would like to speak to him and is being uncommunicative. Please PM me ta.
