1. Got mine today as well. Did we all get the NYXL's? Is it basically just a new nickelwound? Funny thing is I only got around to putting the Flexsteels I got at the bash onto a bass two days ago. I don't think i'll be changing from Elixir though! They are absolutely fine strings, but don't get on with the G string tension.
2. Just bought a Paulownia wood Santander JB200, cheap as chips jazz bass with rear routing. http://www.ebay.co.u...K%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Basically wanted a Jazz bass that is as lightweight as can be. Going to be putting in a set of Wizard 64' pickups and TI Flatwounds. For £70 you can go far wrong. I have owned a 7 String Santander bass before that was fairly good for the price. Hopefully this will be similar. I think it looks pretty smart. https://youtu.be/85kW6Pe_fCk <--- My Review
3. I am finding that the HB Deko Jazzes neck pockets vary wildly in size even with the same models.
4. Digital Village in the UK sell them. http://www.dv247.com.../Ascending/-/1/ J&D are the exact same basses as the Harley Benton ones, just without the Wilkinson hardware.
5. Bachs 6 cello suites for bass transcription. Will never learn it but looks cool to bust out a few seconds of it!
6. Went for both the cheaper Les Paul and the Jazz. Really desperately need a backup bass and guitar at the moment.
7. Awesome guitars, the ZR tremolo is awesome on these.
8. About 1/2 of them for me have had playability issues, high frets etc. two have had absolute banana necks that couldn't be sorted. They are sold for decoration so you cant bank on it.
9. Kiogan Control plate is sold. Bridge is SOLD PENDING COLLECTION. Tuners are SOLD.

11. Looking at building a Jazz bass copy, Looking for Fleas Tone in Stadium Arcanum. Currently got. Gotoh 301 bridge. HotRodPickups (Ex Wizard) 64 Jazz set. Kiogan Dual Concentric Pot plate. Hipshot Ultralite tuners. Now on the lookout for a cheap doner body and neck. Really want a Fender Headstock shape. Something with mojo would be lovely!
12. Dean Tropical series 6 string.
13. I actually quite like it, make it long scale, put a pre-amp in it, could get a decent tone out of it.
14.
That looks really nice. I think Thomann should sell those as well. Surely it wouldn't cost them much to do so. Do you also have a jazz bass with a precision neck?
Sold the jazz body as the P neck was a banana with knackered truss rod.
15. P bass HB Body with J bass HB Neck.
16. I meant just the Kiogan stuff with the bell plate
17. I'd take the stack knob plate and electronics, possibly the neck depending on price....
18. Had my first Melon, PB-20 with a knackered truss rod. Ah well
19. Hello all. Absolutely love Fleas tone on Hump De Bump. I know its flatwounds, and probably an early 60's jazz bass. I have been looking a number of pickups and I am still none the wiser at what I am looking for. Maybe something with Alnico 2's to mimic the late 50's early 60's sound? Thing is the sound seems very fat on Hump De Bump. Even though I know Flea probably has plenty of processing and compression, can someone point me in right direction to get just that little bit closer? Cheers!
20. Reduced to just £130 for quick sale.
21. For sale/For trade: Dean Edge 6 String bass. 35" Scale & 1-11/16" Nut Grover Tuners Black Hardware 2 band active Pre-amp Bolt-on Maple & Walnut Neck Rosewood Fingerboard Abalone Dot Inlays 24 Frets Made in Korea Just been setup with Rotosound strings, genuinely nice low action. I have stripped, oiled and cleaned the bass. Truss rods are 100% a-ok. Some dings on the headstock, some small dents around the edge of the body in the finish (Not the wood). They are very faint and wont show up in photos. Also missing truss rod cover. Pretty lightweight for a 6 string bass. (Lighter then my 4 string jazz and Musicman basses.) I am only interested in decent Squier Jazz/precision bass trading for decent quality parts that can be used in a Jazz bass build, Pickups, Tuners, bodies, Necks (Precision neck fine). Etc. Pickup only from my house in Wimbledon London. Or somewhere in central. £130
