If the neck is in good nick I'd sell it as I know a few peeps who'd love a jazz neck with inlays -

i bought one of the ibanez bass synth pedals (sb7?) off someone on bassworld about two years ago. great fun but Ive never got round to using it live... Methinks I'll be selling it very soon!

I find that bass line hypnotic... class band with a great afrobeat feel to them and I do believe there's not a distortion pedal in sight

IVe never played in a covers band so couldnt really comment on that but each to thier own. anyone had a period where they've turned down cash for integrity? I was in a position a few years ago when my old band had a development deal with a little company who paid for the re-recording of one of my songs. We did it but we all agreed we preferred the original as it had more feel to it... lo and behold a few weeks later we were offered cash to put that version on some advert in Eastern Europe... not great cash but enough to pay for a new van and some equipment. we needed the cash but I just wasnt interested... I just hated the idea of the song being associated with some dodgy brand... Call me stupid or whatever as its just a song but Im happy that I can look my heroes in the eye and say I held on to my integrity. the furries influenced me hugely here:- http://www.contactmusic.com/new/xmlfeed.ns...deal_06_02_2006

+1 on the peli cases. I work with a lot of tv and film crews and they all use them and the cases can be holding upwards of a hundred grand in them... and they float so if you crash (god forbid!) the case and bas will float away!

Anyone interested in these? Im based in Cardiff, not really interested in getting it parcelled up (especially the cab)... EDIT:- the head can be sent relatively easily but havent a clue as to how I'd get the cab delivered SWR 350 head, bought second hand two years ago and its done about 10 gigs. its been serviced since and always kept rackmounted... this is the model that came just after the red one. a little bit scruffy here and there but working nonetheless. Triad cab- again this has been gigged a bit but has been well looked after by me... pics and more info about them to come EDIT not really sure on price but how about £475 for the pair? EDIT reduced to £425 will consider split but ideally would like to sell as a pair

I started playing bass a little later than guitar but as a guitarist I always wanted a Jazzmaster. I loved the offcut shape and still do:- I bought an MIM Jazz bass which I still truly love (havent actually played a bass yet that can justify replacing it), then got round to buying a US Jazzmaster and then this refin Jag came along ( which I swapped for a Tokai ES335 thingy) Heres a pic of em all

cheers for the replies guys... this forum is an invaluable resource for the likes of me. Ive been looking at it today and something doesnt feel right about the finish, a possible refin methinks but not 100% Im going to get it serviced as I dont feel comfortable setting it up myself and get an opinion on whether its a refin. all the best stu

Its an 80's cruise bass, original parts, pretty good condition, one or two dings, fixed neck with original case... Anyone see these pop up for sale or have an idea what its worth as friend I loaned it to wants to buy it. As it was given to me I havent a clue! all suggestions welcome heres a pic

Did a gig in Brixton a few years ago and none other than Maxi Jazz was jumping up and down to our music. nice ego boost there! on another link my legs appeared in the last series of Doctor Who. wasnt credited though!

Im sure a lot of people have seen this article but its worth a read- Steve Albini really hits home http://www.negativland.com/albini.html The part at the end especially re: money is a real eye opener

My first was a late 80s or early 90sBC Rich- sort of- I borrowed it from a friend for about a year... Dont really remember the model and I dont think it was American and wasnt the nicest player. it Looked like Duffs from Guns and Roses in cream with I think three pick ups... I always remember a few old metallers kept on saying it should be black!

Here's my 80s Hamer complete with 80's Technics keyboard in the back ground. Nice bass that hasnt left its case for at least a year doh!

Ive learnt that in '07 using an swr Triad Cab as a glorified bedside table for a whole year means its about time I sold it and move on! and leaving the swr head under the bed in its case is much worse as at least the cab was getting some sort of use -
Hmmm.... I find these kind of sites a little dubious... Do it yourself I say!

A friends brother in laws cut one of those handles into his old 70's ibanez a few years ago. fool!
