1. Hi 30507080,

Difficult for me to say as I only really used it on small gigs with a single 12" cab, a 4ohm Wizzy 12M. That setup is very loud for it's size, mind. I did once use it with the 4ohm 2x12 EBS cab in the picture and it seemed to compare favourably to the HD350 head I normally use. I don't have a lot of experience with that setup though. It certainly ain't the loudest amp out there, but I guess it depends on what context you were thinking of using it in.

    Cheers, Alan

  2. Here's an SWR Amplite in excellent condition, with original box. 400 Watts into 4 ohm. Specs into 8 ohms are unpublished as far as I'm aware, but you can probably guess. A handy little tool to have, so it is. I've even found it to work sans preamp, for those gigs when you can barely be bothered to leave the house! Looking for £250 or £260 posted. I'm based in Colne, Lancashire. Visitors most welcome.

  3. Here's an EA wizzy 12 M-line. I picked it up off BB2000 on this very forum. It's in immaculate condition and comes complete with a newer type, foam lined Roqsolid cover. I'm based in Colne, Lancashire. Collection only at the moment but I'll keep my eyes peeled for a box. £350. Please feel free to ask any questions. Any trial most welcome.

  4. Evening all,

I'm offering up my EBS HD350 and Neo 212 cab for sale.

The head is in all-round excellent shape. I haven't included pics of the top as it's in a case, but it's clean. I also have the chrome handles. It's been signed by Marcus Miller on the bottom, see pics. I'm looking for £350 firm for the head on it's own or £400 with the EBS rack case. I shelled out £160 for the case. Unfortunately, one of the sprung handles has come un-sprung as it were, but otherwise it's immaculate.

I bought the 212 cab on here from Karlfer in 2012. It's a 4 ohm cab. It's in very good condition, barring a bit of carpet bobbling and one or two scratches to the corner protectors. Again, I'm looking for £350 firm.

Both head and cab have roqsolid covers.

I'm based in Colne, Lancashire. I'd rather do a deal in person but can post the head if required at cost. I don't have a box for the cab at the moment.

  5. Hiya Karl,

not long after I bought your EBS Neo 212 I picked up an HD350 and two years later, I'm still loving that rig. I also picked up an EBS Microbass and an SWR amplite and have had similarly pleasing results. The Microbass is a fantastic little box. Sooooo, since you loved the EBS tone you had why not try the microbass with a lightweight power amp. Maybe the 400W of the Amplite would not be enough for your watt-guzzling needs, but there's always the Demeter Minnie. It'll cost you an arm and a leg but I reckon it'll sound goooooood!

PS your old Fender Duck Dunn is still the funkiest most badass bass I ever done played. It now wears bartolinis, Gotoh res-o-lite tuners and flats, shamone.

    All the best, Alan.

  6. This is a great case with the exception of the area around the feet which gives a little when pushed. This has resulted in one of the feet breaking off by pushing up through the bottom of the case. I'm not aware of it having taken any major impact and it appears to have happened whilst in the car. It's a bit of a mystery. One of the other feet is heading the same way and the other two are more solid for some reason. I still have the foot and broken-off piece of plastic that it's attached to, so it may be repairable. The case is functionally sound in every other way. There are general surface marks, as can be seen in the pics, from the year or so that I used it before it broke. I am obviously quite peeved as the swine cost me £130 odd quid and I'm not sure what to ask for it in this state. Do I hear £30 collected? £40 posted.

  7. I took these pickups out of the Duck Dunn bass I bought on here from Karlfer (thanks again Karl) after using them for about 18 months. I put them in a box for safe keeping. Turns out they weren't very safe as two of the pickup leads have snapped off. I'm assuming they can just be re-soldered. Adding to this the fact that they are well used, I'm offering them free to a good home if I can coax a fiver out of someone for the postage. Original box included.
