  1. WD Music 3 ply red/white/red Pickguard. 12 mounting holes plus one in the middle. Also has holes for pickup cover and thumb rest. Can’t quite remember which bass I bought this to fit. It’s based on a mid 70s Precision but I’ve never owned one of them so it was either an ‘81 USA Precision or a Japanese PB70. Sorry, not particularly helpful but here’s the blurb from the WD website:

This USA-made Fender® Precision Bass® replacement pickguard template was tooled from a mid-1970’s, CBS® era USA-made Fender® Precision Bass® (not a reissue) and may have some holes that later and earlier versions do not incorporate like the center mounting screw hole and additional holes to include a thumb rest. Please review the image for hole locations and/or outline variances to confirm this is truly the model that you need. While many manufacturers may make a similar model instrument, this does not mean each pickguard of this type is interchangeable. If the design of your pickguard varies (country of origin, manufactured date, non-Fender® manufactured) from that pictured, you may be required to submit a tracing for a custom order.

  2. I listed this last year but have since found that I need to purchase a Steinberg eLicenser for £20 to be able to transfer the license for the accompanying Cubase software. I'd rather not, so I'm reducing the price to £20 including postage in the hope that someone just needs a simple interface to go with their existing software. Original ad below.........

Here's a Steinberg CI2 USB audio interface. Its had very little use and is boxed with manual and copies of Cubase AI and Wavelab. £40 posted or £35 collected from Foulridge, Lancs. Here's a bit of blurb from the Steinberg website:

The Steinberg CI2 is a USB-powered audio interface and controller with Advanced Integration features. Together, CI2 and Cubase AI 6 present a complete recording system, providing a plug-and-play solution for recording and editing vocals and instruments with a computer in next to no time.

    • 2 high-quality Mic/Line inputs with XLR-combo sockets and phantom power
    • 2 balanced Line outputs with TRS, 1 Phones output
    • Up to 24-bit/48kHz, latency-free hardware monitoring, USB-powered
    • Smart mouse-overcontrol of Cubase with the AI Knob
    • Hands-free recording with Interactive Recording and footswitch operation
    • Easy setup and workflow with Project Assistant and browsing via AI Knob
    • Cubase AI 6 music production software included
    • Cross-platform 32-/64-bit for Windows and Mac OS X Intel

One of the most innovative features of CI2 is the revolutionary AI Knob, which is a “point and control” precision controller. Rather than attempting to replace traditional mouse pointing devices, the AI Knob harnesses the flexibility of a computer mouse to offer unprecedented speed when editing parameters and adjusting settings. The computer mouse is simply moved over the parameter, which is then automatically placed under full precision control through the AI Knob, with no need to make any additional settings in Cubase, any additional software module or on the interface itself.

The parameter can be locked to the AI Knob to retain control when the mouse is moved elsewhere onscreen. The AI Knob of the CI2 controls all Cubase mixing parameters plus VST3 and VST2 plug-ins.

Cubase AI 6 is a lean Cubase version tailored to record your music without additional bells and whistles. Based on the same core technologies as Steinberg’s highly acclaimed Cubase 6 advanced music production system, Cubase AI 6 offers a comprehensive feature set for composing, recording, editing and mixing. Run it together with the CI2 USB audio interface, and Cubase AI 6 provides a full system solution for recording music in studio quality, used by many musicians and producers around the world.

  3. Sold my Korg stage piano to Sergej. He was kind enough to arrange the courier, paid promptly and communications were excellent. A flawless transaction throughout. Very much recommended. Thanks again!

  4. I bought this with grand ideas of doing all sorts with it but haven't touched it, and having just made a frivolous purchase I need to claw a bit back, so here it is. For the uninitiated, it's basically a pad based groovebox with two polyphonic synth tracks and four drum tracks. As well as using the knobs on the front panel, it's also possible to edit the synth sounds on the computer using free software from Novation. It's also possible to load your own samples into it. I'm sure it would make a fun practice tool and possibly more. I don't have the original box unfortunately but will include the power supply, USB lead and Midi lead which came with it. Price includes postage, or if you want to view/collect I'm near Colne in Lancashire.

  5. Selling this Korg SP200 stage piano after upgrading to a swanky SV-1. I've owned this from new and it's served me very well over the years. It's still in excellent condition and full working order. Bought for recording at home, although I have gigged it.....once. The onboard sounds, although perfectly adequate for practice are nothing to write home about, but it makes a great controller keyboard with 88 weighted keys. Also, it's all metal so quite a sturdy piece of kit. Comes with the original power supply and a Thomann padded gigbag. Stand not included. I'm afraid I can't post this but would deliver for fuel money within a reasonable distance. For those wishing to try/collect, I'm based near Colne in Lancashire.

  6. Here's a Tech 21 Sansamp Bass Driver DI, version 2. I've owned this from new, having bought it after my EBS preamp went missing from a gig. It's only seen about six months use so is in excellent condition. It's in the original tin (which has a few dinks) and is complete with manual, warranty card and sticker. Price includes postage, or I'm based near Colne, Lancashire if you want to collect.

  7. Had the pleasure of meeting Barrie today at Reading services, between gigs. He bought my Atelier-Z jazz and it was a seam less transaction throughout. Had a good old chin wag too.

Enjoy the bass, Barrie and hope to meet you again.

    Cheers, Alan.

  8. Here’s a beautiful Atelier-Z DAL-4 Jazz bass. I imported this from Japan via the Ishibashi webshop. It has a gorgeous ash top over a chambered alder body. Pickups are Atelier Z’s own and it does the Marcus Miller thing very well, if you’re into that sort of thing. The JBZ4 Preamp is active with bass boost, treble cut or boost, and a push/pull knob for passive operation. The bridge is a Gotoh 203 and the tuners are Gotoh Res-o-Lite which were an upgrade on the original spec. Condition is excellent, barely a mark on it. There’s a tiny bit of tarnishing on a couple of the pickup pole pieces.

The bass is light weight at a little over 8lbs. It’s also just been set up by the excellent Stockport based luthier Jim Fleeting, with a nice low action.
The sale includes the original Atelier-Z gigbag, which I forgot to photograph, as well as the original front pickup cover which I never used.

I’m unable to post as I don’t have a suitable box. After shipping, taxes and tuner upgrade a new one of these will set you back the neck-end of two grand. I’m asking £1000 FIRM. Bargain.

Please feel free to pay me a visit and try it out. It really is a superb, comfortable and versatile bass. I’m based in Foulridge, near Colne in Lancashire.
