Unfortunately I don't have anything big enough to ship it in safely otherwise I would have said yes. I would imagine it wouldn't be cheap to ship either given its weight.

Yes it's a lovely bass and as I look at the pictures again on the ad I'm wondering why I don't just hang onto it. I suppose it's not the extra string that's causing me problems but the narrower string spacing.

Thanks for the info. Is the crack that's shown at the end of the neck just a laquer crack or does it go through into the wood?

I don't suppose you've got any decent quality sounds samples of it that could be uploaded? There's not very many good examples to listen to on Youtube.
