1. New photos - not very good though Bump
2. I think the main thing is to be honest and friendly. I get lots of my gigs depped and as long as everyone is in the loop this shouldn't be a problem. Just recently our regular drummer has got a dep to fill in for him and he has made a real mistake as the deep is the most amazing drummer I have ever played with. Both are pro drum teachers so both pretty handy but this guy is something truly special. However, even though this is a bit tempting to get this chap in full time, it is simply not the thing to do. Could this have happened to you? Not the end of the world if you have other avenues to explore.
3. When you realise that just because you are obsessed with gear and have lots of it- this doesnt make you a musician.
4. Sold to ateyercheese.
5. 4 Ohms pal- bloody hell - where are you playing- Wembley
6. Sold to Dave. Bit of a record that - 5 Mins??

8. Clearing out a few bits and pieces so my back up amp for sale. Its an Ashdown Little Giant 1000 (500w+500w) in excellent condition and will come with original box/instructions. I have gigged it for a while now without any problems, and used it paired with my schroeder 1212L cab and 1515L (to get the full 1000w) - probably did 5 gigs as this way way, way too powerful for any normal gig. Cracking amp, nice useable eq set up on it, the only problem ( which can be sorted ) is the preamp is a little weak so you have to give this a big signal to get the most out of it- use a pedal or active bass- that`ll do the trick. They are all like this so this is not a problem with the amp. £160 posted on this. will upload pics later Any questions "][email protected]
9. Hi All Selling my Schroeder cabs- this one is a 2 X 15 which is not much bigger than a 1 X 12 ( specs are all available on the web ) Sounds alsolutely wonderful- extremely loud and very very light- feels like a cab without speakers really. Great condition- like new. Used on the odd gig- probably 5 in total as I mainly used my 1212L. Only selling as bought a much inferior Ampeg rig ( though suits the look of the band ). Always go through the pa so dont need ( or ever needed ) the volume of the Schroeders. Buy both cabs for the most rediculously loud rig you DO NOT Need!! One cab will be more than anyone needs unless you like tinitus or that funny ringing in your ears after a gig. Any questions please email "][email protected] Snaps on their way in next day or so.
10. The Schroeder 1212L is really light (one hand lift for an average person) and also portable due to the angled speaker keeping the size down. As a search of the web will show, it is a very loud cab for the size, and will quite happily work for a single cab solution for most ( if not all ) people! I cannot imagine who would want anymore than this gives regarding volume. I also have a 1515L I am selling- I actually used this with this cab for the odd gig - overkill of the highest level- Used it with a little giant 1000-which does 2 X 4 ohm. The fabled 'mid-hump' of the Schroeder cabs is present, but that is no bad thing IMO. I sometimes EQ it out any way using my LM2. I bought this cab roughly 3 years ago. This is a 4 OHM cab The cab is rated 800W at 4 ohms, has 2 12" neodynium speakers (could be wrong, but I believe they're the Celestion orange label ones) as well as an adjustable tweeter. The dimensions are 23.5x16x16 inches. The cab's weight is 42 lbs. Amazing cab - best one I have owned- very small and practical- beautiful clean, warm tone- very uncoloured- but does not look the part of the fairly retro band I am in so I have bought a couple of Ampeg tolex cabs and the PF500 amp. The full Ampeg rig goes nowhere near the clean volume of the one Schroeder. Few small marks on the black rhino- just needs a touch up here and there and would look like new with this done. Looking for £400 plus delivery. Am also selling the 1515L which is a little lighter ( no horn ) but more or less the same size. Any questions please email me at "][email protected] Having a bit of a clearout so loads more gear for sale. Snaps will be uploaded in next few days.
11. When you couldn't give a toss about the audience.
12. Hi Richard I bought your fiesta red one- would you do this one for the same price- if so I`ll have it. Bob
13. I have both the 1212L and 1515L- brilliant cabs- unbelievably loud and clear and warm.
14. Amazing Basses- I have one exactly the same as this- better than any Jazz I have played.
15. I have four basses- three usable- which is two too many to be honest. I never play my Thumb NT5 and my Low End Jazz- fantastic fantastic basses- but prefer my roadworn Jazz- ( and have gone back to a 4 string ) Mind you I have four motorbikes in my garage and seem to use all four- One Race Bike- One Cruiser ( Harley)-One Superbike ( Fireblade ) and one tourer ( GS 1200 )
16. I have a Pf500 and 2 x 10 -use a 2 x 15 too for bigger gigs. Very Old school sound, light and look great! However, why dont you get a lightweight rig such as an LM3 and Schroeder / Barefaced / ( lots of others ) and use a basspod or sansamp for that old school tube sound- best of both worlds.
17. The best advice I can give is for the second part of the line-( with the open A ) use your thumb to play the A whilst your other fingers play the F# and G notes- easier to mute this way. I too have played this line since the record came out and still dont sound like BE.
18. I would just be upfront and honest- believe you me he will respect you for it, if not like you. I know which one I would prefer.
19.
this is one of the best performances i ve ever seen because is simple and complicated at the same time
Everything is there- I do not get tired of watching this performance at all.
20.
Best. Quote. Ever.
I quite like the way he made the song definitely his- and did something different with it. Prefer the TOP version of course but at least his version tries not to be boring. Listen to his tone on this- the way he switches from bridge to both pickups and the tone of his fingers when playing at bridge and neck- fantastic!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90t0ThWP-pE
21. I have both the pf500 and the lm2. Both great amps. Very well made. Sound great. Do they sound as good as my old ampeg v4 or bass man? No but I was different then.
22. Really too much with the 1 x 15 as well- same rig as one in my office. Just the 2 x 10 is emough for anyone- unless you are playing bigger venues- ( then you would be going through the pa anyway ) Look great though dont they?
23. Got a 1212L and a 1515L- very light, very very loud. Clean tone or dirty- depends upon your amp- I tend to EQ out the mid hump, or leave it depending upon the room. Each cab by itself is easily louder than most 4 x 10s
24.
Just checked myself before a wrecked myself...yeah, I actually do play Superstition in E and I Wish in Eb! Perfect demontstration of my lousy memory once again!
I wish- what a song - at the end of it ( after I have really gone for it ) our singer says- ladiiiiies and geeentleeman- bob on bass.,....I actually play the highest note ( other than false harmonics ) on the bass- like sir duke. Very satisfying.
