Can you tell us any more about the Bartolini pre ? Specifically, I'm interested in the center frequency of the mid control, particularly if there's no switch to pick different options, but anything you know about model number will be a help (I've not had anything with a Bart pre before) Thanks, Andy
Steve Harvey, Jimi Macon and Bobby Watson killin it...!
I want to hear more of this but it looks like Soulkeepers don't record on their own or with Ledisi (unless I'm missing something). And that track doesn't seem at all typical of Ledisi's stuff. Would welcome any hints about where to hear more like this.

One of my favourite grooves ... I've been told that this is most likely the Meters doing the backing and so George Porter Jr. on bass. Wish I knew how to cop the bass sound on this too. Andy
Hi Mark, I've found your clips on Soundcloud, comparing Max's pedals. I don't suppose you can let me know what clip relates to what pedal? I'm struggling to find vid's or soundclips of the Red, Black and Fuzz. Many thanks Chris
Chris, you might want to check this thread by Mark on TalkBass. It starts as a quiz, but he did reveal in the answers that 4 of the clips came from a red dragon and a black dragon. Andy
This is my '72 precision, very used, it's all original, apart from the pick ups, I bought it about 16 years ago off a family friend, he gave me the original p/ups, but they never worked. No idea what the ones in it are, but the sound good.
Cream pickup covers were a DiMarzio trademark around the time your bass was made, but for all I know there are others offering the same colour now.
My current setup: Signal chain from right to left!
What's that at the far right ? Looks like it might be an EP Booster ? It's so in the dark I can't tell. Andy
How about this fella....nice playing
Wow, very nice EDIT: It's worth checking the band he's playing along to. Alvaro Lopez & Res-Q Band - album Suenos, opening track, is the track he used. Not typical of the rest of the album though.
Heard this again last night - I know it is a direct lift from the O Jays so perhaps I should have posted that instead, but this gets me every time.
Great track ... great album in fact. This is one of my favourites from it.
OK I have spoken to Ben and it looks like we'll have to go for an updated database engine which will be more futureproof. Hopefully we can afford the ~10hrs work it'll take and then that's that problem solved (plus a few other glitches in the process)
Good news Thanks
