1. When I go to 'View New Content' and the click 'Just Items I follow' the list contains lots of items I DO NOT follow, in addition to a few that I do. Screen shot below, with the few good results (2 out of 25) highlighted. Is this something you guys can fix ? (I do appreciate you're all doing this for love, not money, BTW) Thanks, Andy
 2.
its right at the bottom- I mean RIGHT at the bottom and small - mark community read
Aha ! Thank you.
 3.
I don't know if there's a 'huge bug' with the particular part you refer to, because nobody else seems to be having that particular problem, {...} but you could try marking everything as read and see if that helps. Rest assured, we are looking to fix every single little issue one at a time. ped
I'm struggling to find something that lets me mark every topic as read. Can anyone give me a pointer ? (Do I really have to go into every single forum and subforum to do it ?)
 4.
As you know, though, we are all holding down full time jobs and it's not always easy to spend the whole evening making changes!
I kind of got that idea, yeah
Rest assured, we are looking to fix every single little issue one at a time.
Much appreciated, thank you.
 5.
To see if someone has posted on a thread you have participated in, use the filters in the new content box. Now you can see everything far more easily than before.
There's a huge bug there. If I go to that page and select 'just items I follow' I get 277 pages of results. 277x25 topics per page = 6925 topics. I can be positive I have not followed 6925 topics. That functionality ('New content' -> 'just items I follow' ) is even more broken than the 'Content I follow' and 'My Content' problems I've already logged. Sorry ... I know you guys run this thing because you want to, I don't pay for the service, so you don't owe me anything ... so I'm not complaining. Fact is though, when I go to talkbass, I get to talk about basses, when I come here, all I seem to do is figure out how to fight the website to get what I want. If it stays that way, I'm just going to be spending more time elsewhere, rather than getting frustrated here. And I'd rather be coming here, to a local bass community.
 6.
Oooh, has this been fixed on 'my content' ? Looks like it right now. Thanks for that
No, I take it back, it's broken again, in exactly the same way, with the same thread.
 7.
RE notifications. I tend to keep track of my threads using the new and improved 'new content' area, where I can select 'threads I started' or 'Threads I participated in' and go to first unread post as normal.
Okay, I've not really experimented with that so I tried it. From 'New Content' I clicked 'Just Items I follow' and ...... I get tons of threads that I don't follow. What on earth is happening there ? Same with 'Topics I participated in' and 'Topics I started' ... the results I get may include what I want, but I have no way of telling because there's so much extra stuff that doesn't match. .
 8.
It is, but unfortunately it's not something we can change. Maybe there will be an update released by Invasion at some point. For now, I just use the 'new content' filters and I can easily track my threads there. on less busy threads the notifications are great, but on threads like this they get a bit much, so just use them wisely, I guess.
Ped, sounds like you're doing what I'm doing (relying on 'My content' rather than notifications for this thread). That's working well for me now that this bug appears to be fixed. Andy
 9. Oooh, has this been fixed on 'my content' ? Looks like it right now. Thanks for that Still got problems on 'Content I follow', though ... each page in that starts with recent Items and goes back to ancient history ... not very useful.
 10.
Someone will be on it as soon as possible. There's loads going on behind the scenes at the mo... We're running out of coal to keep the engine going We'll get all the bugs sorted over the next day or so.
I appreciate things might be a bit frantic right now (I've been through a few site launches) ... just wanted to be sure it was on a list somewhere, to be tackled somewhen, and not completely overlooked BTW ... it's possible that the bug with the mis-sorted (?) thread might be related to the fact that I have content in that thread, but I don't follow the thread (it's too busy, I rely on someone quoting my messages to get a notification). I think virtually all other threads in which I have content, I also follow the thread. Then again, that could be a red herring ....
 11.
Yeah, being looked at - cheers
Thanks
 12. Is anyone looking at this please, it's a bit bonkers. 'My Content' is mostly ordered nicely by date, until it gets to the last page , then there's a whoopsy (technical term). I've circled the misplaced item in red in these snapshots of the end of page 2 and the beginning of page 3 (my last page). This is obviously a bit annnoying as one of the most recently updated threads is on the very last page, out of sequence. Could somebody take a look please ? Thanks, Andy
 13.
Thanks Andy - but the content is not there! I wanted to quote the setup guide to another BCer, when I followed the link I thought great, but it was not to be. Never mind, Cheerz, John
Okay ... I must admit I didn't check, but I just looked and found some content. I can only assume the specific thing you're looking for is now missing. Andy
 14.
I think it would be useful if there was a single thread for reporting bugs and missing features, that incorporates a status update on any reports.
Wouldn't one topic per bug in the 'Site issues' sub-forum make more sense ? At least for tracking which issues have been raised, and which of them have been closed ? I can see the merit of a single 'status' page (though I'd be worried about how much extra work it created for Ped and co.), but I think the current state of this thread demonstrates (with all the interleaved problems, solutions, hanging unresolved problems) that a single thread/topic is probably not the best way to keep track of multiple bugs/support issues. Andy
 15.
Where has the WIKI gone? I can't find it anywhere
Still at http://wiki.basschat.co.uk/ , apparently not linked from this site. Andy
 16.
Mods, can I ask where you prefer to have bug/problem reports raised ? My first thought was "right here" and obviously many people think the same. It does get a bit hard to track whether anyone has answered though (particularly because of the volume of well-deserved congratulation) and so I started to log problems in Site issues. That seems to make a lot of sense to me. Make sense to everyone else ? Andy
*cough*
 17.
Click 'follow' at the top right of the thread
Ped, check page 10 of this thread. Ou7shined has been given a lot of help and it looks like he may not have the button.
 18.
I've got the same result. In IE8 (windows XP) the button is missing.
Doh ..... the button IS there in IE8 for me ... I just forgot to log in on IE8. Sorry for confusing the issue ....
 19.
Nope definitely don't have that. Using IE8 btw.
I've got the same result. In IE8 (windows XP) the button is missing. Get yourself a decent browser, download chrome
 20.
???
Looks like it's broken in your browser. Check how it looks to me.
 21.
My top right looks like this....
Try a bit lower down ... see button circled in green. [sharedmedia=core:attachments:89725]
 22.
Wont those settings just give you a list of notifications in you account area? Ill give them a try anyway, cheers.
That's my preference, yeah. I'd sooner have that than storms of emails. You could tweak that to change some classes of notifications by email. Don't know how you'd do it on a topic-by-topic basis though ? Was that the question you were trying to get answered ? Andy
 23.
Awesome awesome groove.
Yowza !
 24.
As soon as I can figure out how to upload attachments, I'll show what I've got set.
Dear Mods, I appear to be able to attach images via some forums/threads, but not this one. Why is that ? Attachment (uploaded via another forum) showing how I've set notifications ---> [sharedmedia=core:attachments:89706]
 25.
Can someone let me know the correct notification setting so I don't keep getting instant notifications. I turned it to off and offline and didn't get any, turned it back on and I've just noticed 20+ emails in my inbox just from this thread alone. Cheers.

^^^ This. This right here. It's like war in my inbox.
You probably want to go to your notifications page and make sure nothing (or next to nothing) is set to email. As soon as I can figure out how to upload attachments, I'll show what I've got set. Andy
