1. Bump!
2. Wow! So... I'll be the one to ask, are you willing to sell any of it separately..?
3. Hi, based in Liverpool/Manchester
4. Very interesting video! The idea of someone writing material for the artists is nothing new of course, we've all heard of the Brill Building in New York, but he's right that more people should be aware of the writers behind the hits. Begs the question whether some of the hits would have been as successful if performed by other artists- what if Britney had been assigned I Kissed A Girl, instead of Katy Perry? If I were to ask this man for one of his unreleased songs, but together a crack squad of unheard of session musicians and record it, would we reach number one? I doubt it... the music business is, and always has been mostly a marketing exercise.
5. Hear it in action straight into a PA desk through a CS-3 pedal here(contains some agressive playing for a Jeff Beck cover but you get the idea...): https://soundcloud.com/steveleggett/high-ho-silver-lining-mastered
6.
I'm surprised at the truss rod TBH. Are the Rumblers so much higher tension than strings like the Ashbory's rubber band silicone strings that it's actually justified?
I wasn't sure but it strikes me as 'future proofing' if nothing else, perhaps they're anticipating some higher tension strings coming on the market soon, an upgrade to the Pyramid steel coated ones on the market at the moment perhaps?
Loved that video!
Thanks!
7.
Intrigued at the notion of using 2 x CR2032 batteries. Wonder how long they'll last?
I'll be interested to see, three of the ukulele players in my group use the same number and type of battery... I know it can't be just down to size but I imagine this will absolutely eat the things?
Just checked out your Ukebox FB page, love the video! https://www.facebook...&type=2
Thanks! Hopefully plenty more coming soon
8. Bump!
9. Looks like I get to start a feedback thread! Sold a pedal to Andrew last week, payment was swift and great comms. Pleasure to do business with!
10. I took delivery of one today after getting a bit miffed at the lack of preamp and the feel of the Thunderguts on my standard ubass, and was instantly bowled over- for the bottom of the range model it beats the hell out of my other one! Preamp is cheap but sounds great, the (laminate) mahogany is beautiful, the neck has a truss rod and the Aquila Rumbler strings feel right and don't have the inconsistent friction of the Thunderguts. I absolutely love it and for what I paid I can't see why anyone would buy a more expensive model... might email Kala asking for an endorsement deal of some kind... Anyone else got one of these? What do you think?
11. Weren't Satelite basses made by the same people? Horrible things. Amazed they trade hands for so much money nowadays.
12.
Yup, original Yamaha woofer. The woofer cover has three layers of black Humbrol paint and two layers of Hard As Nails nail varnish on it, to match it to the black scratchplate
Ah nice, thought it had changed colour since the previous ad! Fingers crossed one of my basses sells sharpish
13. Damn this is tempting, is that the original woofer? If any of my currently for sale basses go I may not be able to resist...
14. Here's my Fender Deluxe Active Jazz bass. The active Fender USA preamp sounds spectacular(especially if you love Marcus Miller's tone) and the neck is typical jazz so of course it plays beautifully. I'll include the old hardcase pictured too, as if I end up posting this I'll want to be 100% sure it reaches you safely as I've not posted a bass before. If you're able to collect I'm happy to knock a bit off the asking price as it saves me going through the palava of finding boxes etc... soo £475 posted
15. Delivery now available via Parcelforce to UK addresses
16.
I would buy either of your basses if you would post it!!
I think I'll have a look at getting some packaging and boxes together at long last... will bump soon with revised prices including postage
17. Bump! Shiny new Kala Rumbler on order so this has to go... or does it? Trades anyone?
18. Bump!
19. From what I've seen you can't go wrong with a CV, but VM's have yet to let me down (after a good setup). Friend of mine plays a Mustang and loves it, but I've heard the QC isn't as reliable on these for some reason.
20. Agreed that there are a heck of a lot of Fender sigs out there already though!
