1. Took delivery of my second bass from Mike yesterday, as before it was rapidly sent and very securely packaged, and he was a pleasure to deal with throughout the transaction- Many thanks again!
2. Bump
3. Bump! Still looking for cash, part ex for a kala ubass, a fender bass or combinations of the above...
4. Piccolo basses can sound great! Stanley Clarke and Brian Bromberg both play them occasionally... it does the lead melody on this for an idea of the sound; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oO2_eRos8oc
5. Switch is actually a pickup selector! Bit pointless really, if I end up keeping it a coil tap mod is a real possibility next time I've an afternoon spare...
6. I think a few that were previously made in Japan have had production moved to Mexico- the Geddy Lee and Marcus Miller for sure, and I may chatting rubbish but I think the Jaguar(proper one that is, not the Modern Player) is now MIM too..? I've a feeling the Mustangs are still Japanese though
7. Hmm, does it do the sound unplugged too? I'm inclined to say it'll be either the bridge or nut looking at. Also are the strings all wound to the bottom of the peg? Silly questions but it might be something like that as little things can make quite a difference! Acid test would be to restring it, I'd say there's a very good chance that'd fix it
8.
Thanks! Aye MB1's right, the active ones have a little LED between a couple of the knobs I believe! I'd be very interested to hear the difference in sound and whether the active version has the same 'character' as this one... This has a lovely pair of EMG Select humbuckers which sound just divine... need to put up a pic of the back of it too, the neck join has to be seen to be believed
Pics of neck join added!
9.
Very cool bass GLWTS!
Thanks!
Isnt this an active jack?

'iconic' Isnt this an active jack? MB1. Passive! No Active led on this one. 10. 6 string guitarron randomly converted to acoustic bass... in East Sussex! Hmm... sounds vaguely familiar
11.
Orange OTB 500 and an Aguilar gs112. I mentioned it on Facebook I think ;-)
Haha completely forgot about that sorry! Was very tempting but decided I could really do with mostly cash to put toward another U-Bass, or something with Fender on the headstock
12. Comes with lovely Warwick Rockbag, a Westone Quantum in great condition apart from a hole near the volume knobs where a previous owner tried to install a switch for some reason. Plays really well, can use regular strings rather than double ball ends, and sounds terrific. [s]£225[/s] £200 posted DISCOUNT AVAILABLE ON COLLECTION RATHER THAN POSTAGE -or any trade offers considered! Here it is in action on the streets of Liverpool;
13. My trusty logarhythm stompbox. Same story as the other stuff I'm selling on here, it's great but it's not getting used so I'm getting rid. These are £60 new so £30 posted first class to your door(unless you don't have a door, in which case I'll have the delivery guy leave it just by the entrance to your basscave/warren )
14.
Trades. For what?
What've you got? Ideal world I'm after a mahogany UBASS to go with the spruce one I've just bought plus a little cash, but anything music related'll be considered!
15. Here's my lovely Hohner Jack up for grabs as I'm just not using it at the moment. Lovely sound from dual EMG humbuckers! Edit- delivery to UK mainland now available, price including postage(previously I'd discounted to allow for fuel when collecting...) is now £260 for Parcelforce 48
16. Boss chorus pedal. Couple of battle scars, and a while back I had to put some switch cleaner on it to make it turn on and off smoothly every time(at times it used to need a little more pressure than usual to turn on or off... seems ok at the moment but just in case I've knocked a fiver of what I would have asked for it). Also the rubber bit has been removed(but will be included with sale) and replaced with velcro £30 posted!
17. Pedal itself in good condition although I've removed the rubber from underneath(included with sale) and crudely attached some velcro. Comes in original box, £35 posted to UK
18. EHX Q-Tron, with original power supply. After what I paid for it back, so £60 posted to UK
19. REDUCED TO £500 firm, sale or part exchange Here's my Markbass combo up for sale as I just play through my PA these days, saves space in the car etc... You all know the deal with these, they're simply one of the best sounding combos of this size and weight on the market. Paid about £900 for it about two years ago so it's been treated accordingly! Still has the original signed quality control sticker from the factory. I really can't be bothered finding packaging to ship it at the moment, however I will happily deliver it myself via train for the cost of my ticket as at least that will get me out of Liverpool/Manchester for a day. Trades considered, hit me with suggestions- ideally a KALA U-BASS(just bought one but I want a backup) or a Fender bass of some description(a Squier VI would be nice!), or something part ex'd with enough cash that I can afford a UBASS as well [edit: now with big pictures!] [edited again for more info in title/description] [edited again for price drop and possible delivery]
20.
You've heard her so many times without even knowing.
This is brilliant! What bass is that..?
21. Amazed there's little or no mention of BestPractice yet- you can slow tracks down, transpose them however you like, save the tracks once they're in the right key/speed if you like, and best of all it's free...
22. Funnily enough I was thinking along similar lines last night, in my case even the BB714BS seems quite overpriced, considered getting a beater p-bass and bunging in some will powers... great minds eh? I'd be inclined to wire it in stereo, a lot of Billy's tone seems to come from the woofer/tweeter approach... good luck with the build!
23. I was there! Highlight of the set was that solo Must be a custom job, looks like a Lakland Precision copy with a big active preamp but can't find anything like that on their website. Sounds absolutely stunning whatever it is, perfect precision tone in my book
