  1. Nice that basskit_case.
  2. Nice one walshy.
  3. Mark has also found some 'old' stock amps as well and I just (accidently😁)pressed the button on a pre-production RM500. Ooops.
  4. Impressive resume there yorks5stringer. being a bit of a hi-fi nut in the past I know the speaker companies you worked for and saw/read a complimentary review of the Air-Pulse's some years back.
  5. The guy in the video above puts his videos on YouTube under BassBuzz. I have been using some of his lessons on there recently and found them useful.
  6. Smoot Hound here, good piece of kit and made in the UK to boot.
  7. If you have no problem with the wait then Wenge all the way.
  8. Re above comment from BigRedX , If you talk to Neil at Newtone he may make you a bespoke A D G C set.
  9. With regard to learning you could try the Scott Devine and Scott Whitley videos on YouTube. Maybe even sign up to Scott Devine's Bass Academy 14 day trial.
  10. If they don't arrive soon pepsi-abi let me know and as my earlier post I will send you a cable and strap.

  12. Watch out for the pips😁
  13. In our band it would be the rhythm guitarist being described by the thread title.😁
  14. pepsi-abi, have you sorted a strap yet, if not let me know I probably have one you can have.
  15. I appreciate it's an eclectic mix, but surely Doris Day had one of the best voices of her era?
  16. Not and album or track but currently listening to Lisa Tarbuck on Radio 2 who is playing some absolutely spiffing music including Talking Heads, Annie Lennox, Roxy Music/Bryan Ferry. Glad I tuned in as I've been bopping round the kitchen to music genres I don't like. If I'm not mistaken it will be followed by Johnnie Walkers Rock Hour😀
  17. Yep, Newtone strings are what I use and can't fault them or the company that makes them and they are British to boot.
  18. It is worth trying any bass you are thinking of buying before you buy as it is not only the style or type but other factors such as weight, body size and scale length. I must say looking at some of the bass player pictures posted in this thread one ore more would be better off with a short or medium scale which would make their playing far more comfortable. Re the bass you are looking at I think all the points have been mentioned already. Whatever you choose, enjoy.
  19. That looks good - nice one.
  20. I think Status strings may meet your requirements hooky_lowdown. There does not seem to be any on the strings shown on their standard scale bass guitar pictures.
  21. Try searching this in youtube: Strap Height - Bass Lesson with Scott Devine
  22. How about the Tascam GB10, - small, compact and you can load it with music to play along to. Powered by batteries our usb supply. Built in effects and tuner (if I remember correctly).
  23. Many thanks Zoltan, just signed up. A generous move on your part in these difficult times.
  24. Good to hear you've found a solution Danny👍
