1. There's an internet forum called Hifi Wigwam that you could join and they have a classifieds section. Lichfield has pretty regular record fair. Thirdly there I a second hand vinyl shop in Rugeley town centre I believe.
2. Ashdown Retroglide 800 as it's the only one I have had thats over 300w.
3. Sennheiser HD201 low cost but good quality
4. I used one Mi10 at rehearsal and found it sounded okay but added a second and everything that seemed to be missing from the sound, low bass and depth, suddenly appeared. I have used a Barefaced 2x12 in the same situation (smallish pub room no audience) and to me this cab sounded better by being cleaner and better defined. 2 x Mi10 in the music room (i.e. spare bedroom) sounded great but using one was not so bad either so I think room acoustics play a great part here. I think Alex may have come across this effect hence he introduction of the One10 and Two10whi is the route I may go.

Purchased an OBBM guitar lead off Mark nice easy transaction and quick delivery. Thanks Mark.
6. It might make a good pairing with the GB Neo X 212 cab also in the classifieds ?
7. Pm'd regarding the control knobs with abalone inserts.
8. I've actually got the 250 Blackline you considered. It's a great amp and the tone with the pots set flat is terrific.
9. It's Fifty this year and I'm Sixty. It's a great album especially from a production point of view and what I have heard of the new remix has been excellent.
10. You could stay with Ashdown and try the Retroglide 800 with a 4x 8 cab which Gear4Music are offering for £699 at the moment.
11. I think Gear4Music are offering a Ashdown Retroglide 800 + 4x8" cab for £699.
12. If it's an 8" speaker as per the specification is it a Shuttle 3.0-8T? If so an excellent little combo with removable amp head.
13. Bought Jamie's Ashdown Retroglde 800 off him. The amp was delivered quickly and is as described - easy and smooth transaction. Thanks Jamie.
14. Genz Benz Shuttle 3.0-8T amazing considering it only has an 8" speaker, 175 watts to boot.
15. Hi Dan, Try here: http://www.flightcasewarehouse.co.uk/type/product.asp?item=gorilla-lightweight-utility-padded-310-x-320-x-190mm-bag-10100-11178 There are other types of solid and soft bags on the site.
16. Fortunately I do not have moulds but a plug which is closer in design to a very thin headphone ear bud with the tube being very flexible although pre-shaped to fit in the ear. This arrangement is comfortable enough to wear all day. Not had many of the options programmed into the hearing aids yet as they work quite well using there own automatic system. I will state that these are not NHS which meant that I ad more more options available in both the type and style of hearing aid I could have, but to go along with that there is a significant increase in cost.
17. I have not listened to the hi-fi with mine yet, it is something I must do. The hearing aids I use have the capability (with an extra bit of kit) of playing music from my mp3 player so I do not have to remove them and use headphones, and they do not sound to bad at all.
18. I have hearing aids in both ears and luckily as part of the package I had a free set of musicians earplugs which give a 19db cut. At band practice or a gig I take the hearing aids out and put the plugs in as there is no point in making the situation any worse. If it's any help to anyone there are a wide variety of hearing aids available and some may benefit your situation more than others i.e. over ear or in ear utilising or blocking the ear canal while others sit in the ear canal with an open transducer. It is suprising what is on offer and it is worth discussing you requirements and needs with your consultant. In my case I have high frequency loss and also suffer from tinnitus so the over the ear with in ear canal transducer met my needs best.
19. Genz benz Shuttle 3.0 8T or 10T. I use the 8T, it's extremely compact, very light and around 175w. The head can be detached or partner with another 8ohm cab for more wattage.
20. Like planer listening to one concert was all it took so I paid for the problem. After the concert there was ringing in the ears but it never stopped so went to the docs and was diagnosed with tinnitus. Had it for around 12 years and it has it's good and bad days but never goes away and can see why it would drive people to despair. Started to get hearing increased hearing loss last year so saw a consultant and found out I could not hear the first/highest 4 levels of the test due to the damage, not good, so now have hearing aids. The one 'good' thing is that as part of the package I had a free set of 'musicians' earplugs with a 19db cut - it's never to late to protect what you have left.
