  1. Now I come to think of it, I had a MIM P with those specs a few years ago! Cracking bass and very light, sounded terrific with flats.
  2. I used to do the same as Lozz above, which works great. Now I leave it wide open and switch between an 'SVT' and 'B15' present on my Sansamp VT. When playing live I'm less likely to forget which tone I'm on when there's a glowing red light!
  3. Any of the Indian or Pakistani Elvis tributes that go by 'Patelvis' Also 'Mike and Tina Turner'
  4. Eh?! That really is an odd request for a dance party, both tempo and lyrics: "I spill my tea - oh silly me" isn't quite "boom, boom shake shake the room", is it?
  5. GIve Maruszczyk or Sandberg a look, they can make a lovely custom for you at a good price https://public-peace.de/configurator/jake-c http://www.configurator.sandberg-guitars.de/ In both cases you can ask for extra options too.
  6. 'Encore!' always strikes me as a very odd request....
  7. Any idea how Wal etc. insure their shipments for the full amount - would that be possible with a business account, for example? And I guess it's possible to buy 3rd party insurance (i.e. not the courier's own insurance) up to the full value, although I've not tried that - anyone with experience of that...?
  8. Agreed! Close to Ocean Turquoise, but not quite...looks superb with the maple neck. If I didn't have an OTM Jazz I'd get one of these just for that colour
  9. Love that tiramisu swirl pickguard ❤️
  10. Just sold Karl a CS Precision, a very straightforward and enjoyable transaction with a Basschat legend - I'm delighted it's gone to a great home! Cheers Karl
  11. Bass Centre Bruce Thomas Profile bass - it's a 41mm nut but a slender neck profile (hence the name) with a smooth (not glossy) neck finish. Well worth an audition at £495 http://www.basscentre.com/british-bass-masters/bruce-thomas-profile.html Edit: sorry, just spotted you were after PJ. They also do the Norman Watt-Roy tribute PJ but it's a 43mm nut: http://www.basscentre.com/british-bass-masters/the-bass-centre-rhythm-stick-rosewood.html
  12. Thanks Bill, much appreciated. With a proper PA (including a dedicated sub) should I still put my bass through the 2x15 and not the PA? Or does the 2x15 become surplus to requirements? It really is a lovely 2x15, hence the question...
  13. My band consists of vox/drums/bass/guitar/harmonica/tenor sax/keyboard. We've been using a humble gear4music PA ('pimped' with a Behringer PMP4000 mixer/amp), except me going through a greenboy 2x15 behind me. It's often been said that the instruments are indistinct when playing pubs/clubs. Any thoughts on the following idea? I add a crossover, and route keys (low), kick/floor tom, tenor sax and the bass into the greenboy, taking low frequency load off the main PA. In which case, what is a sensible crossover frequency to start testing with - the Faital Pro 400s are rated at 35-4KHz? I was thinking 250k, any advice much appreciated Cheers Kev
  14. Love the Bruce Thomas Profile bass! Really lively P, feels very comfortable in hand, and a fantastic bargain - you even get a signed book from the man himself :)

Look good! What width is the nut on these?

Edit: Ignore my last. Blurb says between a P and a J so not what I'm looking for. The Rhythm Stick however, that's a different story...

Not sure if we need to hear the rhythm stick story...
