OK, don't laugh loud here ... I am using a 15-watt Fender Frontman 15G amp the one I used for my guitar with treble at 0
I certainly started out that way 30 years ago - albeit with a 15w bass practice amp that picked up the local cab firm through the single coil pickups of my Arbiter bass! Great advice above - meanwhile while you save for a new amp, move your frontman amp into a corner to help accentuate the bass frequencies, and play fingerstyle near the neck. -
I sold Dan a Classic 50s Precision, very communicative and fast payment, and let me know it had arrived safely. A pleasure to do business with, thanks Dan!
Did I miss the weight of this splendid machine?
No, but I did - sorry! Bathroom scales shows just approx 8 lbs 12 oz, including bridge and pickup covers. That seems consistent with e.g. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/PBass50LBk (8 lbs 10 oz without the covers). Certainly a lot lighter than my '79 P -
I bought a vintage bass from Lee, fantastic bargain and he was very communicative and easy to deal with throughout. And as mentioned above the packaging was terrific! Deal with confidence

+1 to HowieBass - if you're planning on gigging then get a feel for the tuners and control pots as well, as they are often flimsier on cheaper basses. But I've played many a decent Squier and MIM P, so it's not a general rule for them.

I sold Kev an amp; very easy transaction and communication throughout the process. Thanks Kev!

NOW SOLD For sale (no trades thanks!) £470 Tecamp Puma 900 More pics here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/133089969@N07/albums/72157667833540600 Superb class D amp with both simple 'taste' control or more precise semi-parametric tone controls. Selling because I have decided to keep my Super Bassman 300T, and this is far too good to keep as a backup (which will now be undertaken by my Fender rumble combo) Full working condition, and excellent cosmetic condition. Gigged approx. 10 times. Includes the Tecamp softcase, also a speakon and the manual. Comes in original box. Courier £7.50 UK Location: Tonbridge, Kent. Thanks for looking!

For sale only (no trades thanks!), £500 More pics here: https://www.flickr.c...th/27653357453/ Spec Fender Classic 50s Precision in Fiesta Red, i.e. one of these https://www.gak.co.u...iesta-red/20345

Body: Alder
Neck: 1-Piece Maple, "C" Shape, (Gloss Urethane Finish)
Fingerboard: Maple, 7.25" Radius (184 mm)
No. of Frets: 20 Vintage Style Frets
Pickups: 1 Precision Bass Split Single-Coil Pickup (Mid)
Controls: Volume, Tone
Pickup Switching: None
Bridge: American Vintage Precision®/Jazz® Bass
Machine Heads: Vintage Style Reverse Tuning Machines
Hardware: Nickel/Chrome
Pickguard : Gold Anodized Aluminum
Scale Length: 34" (863.6 mm)
Width at Nut: 1.750" (44.5 mm)
Unique Features: Vintage Styling, Anodized Aluminum Pickguard, Synthetic Bone Nut
Gauges: (.045, .065, .080, .100)
History and mods I bought this from eBay about a month ago. The stock pickpups are included with the sale, however I have fitted Fender 'Original Vintage pbass' pickups which have a fantastic full range to them: http://www.thomann.d...bass_pickup.htm . At the same time I swapped the rather flimsy stock pots for Fender CTS pots, and replaced the 0.1uF cap for a 0.047uF, as I found the tone rolled fully off with 0.1 to be too muddy. Rolled off now it gives thump without the mud. I redid all the pickguard screws with a Fender set, as some of them had a spot of rust/wear. Finally I added a Fender bridge ashtray/pickup cover, and a non-Fender maple thumbrest which complements the neck nicely. Strung with Fender Nickel roundwounds 7150M .045 .105 Note: no hardcase, but I will include a basic Ritter softcase. Condition See photos for a couple of body dings, also the ding on the edge of fretboard halfway between nut and first fret on G side. Sounds Full working order, sounds and plays beautifully. The new pots and pups really give a lovely range from grind to thump. The neck on these is very playable, don't be put off by the width! Selling because I already have one P, and now have non-P GAS... Courier Will be sent insured in a guitar box, well bubble-wrapped with the Ritter soft case. Probably £20 for mainland UK, but will quote accurately when required. Location Tonbridge, Kent. 20 Mins from J5 M25, trial welcome, but note I will be in and out of the country over the next couple of weeks. Thanks for looking!

SOLD Fender Super Bassman pro 300T 2015 model For sale only, no trades thanks! £1000 including insured UK courier, £950 collected Condition and history Fully working, purchased second-hand from Bass Direct in January. I have gigged it twice, the previous owner apparently did not gig it. More photos https://www.flickr.c...th/27661652900/ Comes with Fender footswitch (although note this is not the 'vintage' chrome footswitch that this model normally includes), leather sleeve cover, power chord, Fender instrument to Speakon cable. Selling because I bought this to compete with our band's super loud lead guitar - but that's no longer in the band, so this is overkill. It well and truly did the job when needed though! Overall impression Gorgeous passive Fender tonestack, and a useful overdrive channel with active mids, deep and bright boosts. Never struggled at all to compete with a noisy 7 (now 6!) piece band. Postage/collection Collection much preferred! Trial welcome, I have a 2x15 and a P bass, or bring your rig. I'm approx. 15-20 mins from J5 M25 in Tonbridge, Kent. But, it was couriered to me - so it can be done! Packed weight approx. 30 kg. , so I will need to source a suitable box. I can get courier quotes or let me know any preference.

We're Expändables (note umlaut) and have been listed as playing in a few festivals in San Diego. Which would be great if we could easily get there from Kent. So luckily our umlaut-less namesakes are an ocean and continent away. Bizzarely, most of our Facebook fans are from Indonesia, as I suspect they think we're the film franchise...
