1. lol... you should have seen my reaction when I read the title as learning 64 MCR (My Chemical Romance) songs. Yikes indeed! I would do the gig depending on if I was doing anything at the time. If I was doing nothing, I would do it. Better something than nothing IMO.
2. DEAR MR MARK Thank you very much for coming to the website. Please pay deposit of $1,000,000 American Dollars via Western Union to DR K SMITH. Thank you. lol... just kidding. Welcome to the site mate! Hope to see some tasty porn pics of your basses soon.

4.
Are you planning on using it with a bass specific preamp of some description?
Yep... that's the idea for me. I use a EBS MicroBass II into a Mark Bass Little Mark II as a poweramp (I prefer the sound of the EBS). As much as the LMII is pretty small, I thought bringing a whole amp with me on the London Underground on the way to gigs is a bit pointless. Having this will definately lighten the load on my back.
5.
By who? BassGuitarMagazine? Their reviews aren't worth the paper they're printed on. Far to keen to keep the manufacturers sweet. It really does them a disservice.
To be fair the review in BGM wasnt entirely positive. They rightly pointed out the major price increases meant that especially the Precision wasn't great value for money.
6.
If I had the space
If I had the space and the transport this would be mine. Anyways, have a bump for a fantastic amp!
7. Wow... looks amazing. Wonder if there are any other Flea basses with two Lane Poors.
8. If portability will be an issue for you, you might wanna take a look at this. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=20284 It's a small compact lightweight poweramp Alien (Andy) is making for me at the moment.

10. With anything as physical like that, I wouldn't trust plastic strap locks. You'll need more a pair of Dunlop strap locks, with the screw super glued into the bass!
11. Looks like it's coming along nicely.
12. Oooooooh. Love that zebrano. The idea of a matching zebrano headstock sounds great!
13.
Next time a get a load of the washers I'll start a thread offering them out on the condition the recepient then posts them on to the next person and so on... Then its only costing everyone the price of an envelope and stamp. s_u_y_ has kindly offered to post on the surplus which I sent him. Hopefully the next people will keep it going..... Ian
Good idea. Unfortunately both sets are gone already.
14. Seems there must have been a bit of miscommunication in my PM and I ended up with all 30. Since I don't need all 30, I'll be giving away 2 sets of 10 free of charge.

16. Wow... the guys at that pawn shop obviously don't use Google!
17.
I'm trying out the first applicant on Monday... Will keep you guys up to date. Maybe we'll go for a 4-bass lineup in the end ;-)
I've always wanted to see a bass quartet.
18.
We also recently passed the number of posts that bassworld and basstalk had combined (193,616), with only half the number of members.
I think Mrs Tinman should get a special commendation then. Happy birthday BC!
19. Thank God I can't sing. One less thing to GAS over.
20. I'll admit I was skeptical of the idea of a BC competition, as I've seen some on other forums and it all a bit of a w*** fest really. But this sounds more like my cup of tea. Hopefully I can get something down.
21. If nickels is what you want, then you might wanna try DR Sunbeams. They're compressed strings so have more mass than the gauge would indicate. To me, it gives more presence. The strings also have a nice subtle growl to them which lasts a long time and is even present unplugged. Bloody expensive (though there's a seller in eBay from the States doing them cheap), but really really good strings.
