1.
Only the very early versions required modding for active basses, later ones were sorted. Have a bump.
Thanks!
 2. I could be persuaded to meet you halfway in Birmingham Coach Station.
 3.
Hi, is this the newer version as I have an active bass and have heard that the early ones distort if you have an active bass? What underground station are you at?
Hi mate... thanks for reminding me. Completely forgot to mention this. The previous owner said that he had to have it modded to cope with active basses and left the certificate in the box. I've taken a quick photo of it. I can get to Victoria, South Kensington or Clapham Junction easily from where I live. 4.
Is it just the Bart pups or does it have the bart preamp as well? Cheers
It looks like MEC preamp.
 5. Right now I do have an offer to collect locally. If it falls through, I'll be in touch.
 6.
I cant beleive this is still here!
I know, right! For the price, I didn't imagine that this would still be here. Especially as a recent eBay bid finished at just over £250! (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Stagg-EDB-Electric-Double-Bass-or-EUB-/231039606009?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Sting_Instruments&hash=item35cb089cf9)
http://basschat.co.u...18#entry2201118 Free case for it. Take my junk.
Thanks Owen. I've posted a link to it in my original post, for anyone interested in buying this and wanting a free EUB case too.
 7. bump
 8. Thanks Joe. Basschat is an amazing resource. When I was really active here a few years ago, I learnt so much from the community here. Appreciate you letting anyone who's interested.
 9. Bump for price drop to £160 from £200. This retails in Thomann.de for just over £320.
 10.
lovely bass! if I could have a warwick bass this would be what itd look like
Thanks mate for the kind words. In fact my girlfriend was a little sad when I told her I was selling it... calling it a "pretty bass guitar".
 11.
Does this have the tiltback thingy?
Hi Lifer. Yes, it has the handle that also allows it to tilt. Very useful when you have to stand quite close to your backline. 12.
I used to have one of these and they pack a serious for their size! Obviously you'll never get the spread that you expect from more or larger speakers but it'll handle small gigs no problem at all. Lightweight, excellent build quality and the thing I like most about it is that a standard rackcase fits perfectly on top so your amp won't look comically huge against it! If I had the cash or decent tradebait I'd be all over this like a rash. I really regret selling mine on and this cab would be perfect for my needs right now. Oh well Truckstop
Thanks Truckstop. +1 for how it handles small gigs. Even though I could couple this with my Neo 112, most of the time I used the slightly smaller Neo 110 by itself for backline monitoring.
 13. Price drop to £160. Picked this up as a mate was selling and my band was experimenting with a more "acoustic" setup at the time. The EUB sat much better than my electric basses in the mix. My favourite feature is a headphone out jack socket. More details: http://www.thomann.d...g_edb_34_bk.htm In interests of full disclosure, nut shipped slightly at the edge and was superglued it back on (please photo below). It doesn't effect the sound at all, but I've reflected the issue in the price, as well as a lack of softcase. (Link to free EUB case - http://basschat.co.u...e__pid__2201118) COLLECTION ONLY. I live in London (Near Clapham Junction and Victoria train stations). But I'm prepared to travel out by train if needs be.
 14. Picked this pedal up a few years ago. Great little pedal that comes in its original box. Collection preferred in London, close to a tube/train station. But willing to post for postage & packaging.
 15. http://www.bass.se/2009/neo110.htm Bought this EBS Neo 110 from a Basschat user about 3 years ago. Was a great little companion for my Neo 112 and Mark Bass Little Mark II when I was gigging hardcore. Still works great, no issues. Still very robust and solid. COLLECTION ONLY. I live in London (Near Clapham Junction and Victoria train stations). But I'm prepared to travel out by train if needs be. EDIT: Cash sale only.
 16. I bought this bass from a Basschat user about 3/4 years ago. Has Bartolini P/J pickups (which I've been told are stock), and also a very cool Warwick branded flightcase. Looks like it's more likely to damage the floor than the other way around. I preferred the pre-late 90's Warwicks due to their features the moderns ones don't have: the different neck profile, the brass Just-A-Nut I and the Dunlop recessed/flush-mount strap-lock system. I picked it up today and started playing, and forgot how much this bass is fun to play. Nice low action, and a great tonal punch made even more sweeter with the Bartolini pups. In interests of full disclosure: there's a few light dinks on close inspection of the bottom, which I've tried my best to capture them on my photos but are difficult to see anyway. Also, there is a small problem with the electronics, which was disclosed to me when I bought it. It seems when run on active mode, the 9V battery drains as if it's on all the time. Never bothered to get it fixed as I preferred it on passive mode anyway. COLLECTION ONLY. I live in London (Near Clapham Junction and Victoria train stations). But I'm prepared to travel out by train if needs be. Happy to answer any questions. EDIT: I'm looking for a cash sale only I'm afraid. 17.
I never plug a bass in when I'm trying one in a shop. If I still like the feel of it after 10 mins I'll ask for an amp then. I probably have less than a 10% "plug in" rate. I wish more players didn't make such a racket in shops!!
+1. As soon as I "plug in" I turn the volume knob all the way down, so I can concentrate on how it feels and listen out of any possible setup problems.
 18. Small flightcase gone... bump for everything else.
 19. haha... And watch how they'll "pretend they don't speak Engish" either. lol
 20. Just dropping by to show some Timmy C love. Absolutely love RATM. Got into them just after they broke up and thrilled when I saw live for the first time in Antwerp last year. One of my main influences as a player for sure.
