1. I'm selling two tickets for Sat 18th August at cost price. Check it out. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=4414
2. I need to sell these off because my friend decided to go to the Ediburgh Fringe Festival this week. He bought another pair for another date, so I need to let these go. Since I've noticed there's a few Prince fans down these parts, I'll let anyone have dibs on the pair. I'm looking for exactly what I paid for the pair £72.91 I'm prepared to deliver to any tube station in London within Zones 1 and 2. Otherwise, collection can be made in Battersea or Clapham Junction. Please text me, phone me or leave me a voicemail message on 07743 499 496.
3. Alright there Chris. Beautiful buy! According to Wikipedia, Kylie and Danni Minogue's mum is called Carol. Contender for the name?
4. After the debacle of me playing after drinking 6.5 pints of Guinness in quick succession, I now have a self-imposed 1 pint limit (stretched to 1.5 if I'm feeling extra special). Didn't reach the full 7 as the frontman took it away from me!
5. Anyone else a little bemused by the glut of Warwick Streamers on for sale? Not healthy for suppressing that bad bad GAS.
6.
You must be getting really bored of this now. Plan is to eBay it in September when the holidays are over.
Dropped a helpful hint to a bassist on another forum. I thought this would be gone by now. But I would recommend you sit tight and don't eBay it. eBay is generally awful for selling instruments.

South East Bash

Great stuff! Think I'll be bringing my Fender Jazz and Musicman Stingray, both with a rich BassChat pedigree. Also will bring down my EBS MicroBass II.
8.
I did have a subscription to BGM. It was a couple of months after my subscription ran out that I realised I wasn't getting it anymore. Obviously, they don't send out reminders or mine got lost in transit. Anyway, I took out a subscription to Bass Player and am happy with it. They also send timeous reminders.
I got an email reminder when my subcription ran out. Just came back home and looking forward to reading it at lunchtime tomorrow at work.
9.
Oh rite, how does the sound vary with ash as apposed to bubinga?
From the Warwick User's Manual: Acoustically, bubinga is a very resonant wood that offers very clear lows and well-defined upper mids and highs. Acoustically, Ash has wonderful mid-frequency response and a very warm low end. In my experience, I prefer Corvettes in ash, mainly because the Corvette body is quite large and bubinga is a really heavy wood.
10.
Unless you wanted something special/custom I would deffo go used. A used excellent Thumb BO4 went for £543 on the bay last week
Back in January, I saw a neck through go for £600. After just paying a lot more for mine, I wasn't too happy!
11.
I thought this would fly off my hands, it's such a lovely instrument.
I know... I would love this. But I've exhausted my entire GAS fund. But have a bump on me, for such a beautiful bass.
12. Actually mate... I wouldn't mind a print of that Ric picture. I thought it was fantastic. I'll PM you with more questions.
13. I'm glad to see that your keen eyes spotted that unfortunate association mate!
14. You take some wicked pictures is you don't mind me saying. I love the with with her holding the Ric.
15.
Feel free to post some pics! We love to see new purchases! - I love P basses in black too!
Practically every P bass I've owned was in Black. Odd because I'm not a great fan... but I guess Black Fender Ps are just drawn to me. Baseballfan1456... ow you have your first bass.. watch out. You'll want more.
16. Liking the newsletter idea... nice to sum up what's been going on. Makes it feel more of a community
17.
I love white and tort pickguards on jazz's
I see that you also are a man of good taste. For me, the only body/pickguard combo that looks right with a rosewood board on a jazz is white and tortoiseshell (and maybe lake placid blue too). But yeah... that Jazz is nice!
18. I have nothing against ERBs, but I think that thing is ugly!
19.
FWIW I think the stance Chris has taken is excellent and truly representative of the BW community. He's not legally obliged to act in this way which makes it all the more laudable.
Yeah... Chris is a great guy to deal with and I think it is fantastic and honest of him to do what he did. Just sorry that it left you out of pocket mate. Put it this way, the amp I sold you was a bargain for what it was if that's any consolidation.
20.
I love the feel of the Warwick. Difficult to describe, but to me the neck feels very natural and ''woody''. The Jazz is very playable too, but has much more ''ordinary'' feel to it. That's all down to personal choice of course!
I agree. I love my wenge neck on my Warwick. It feels fantastic to touch.
21. At the moment I am personally liking overwound passives to active at the moment. For the stuff my band is playing at the moment, my actives sound too clinical at the moment.
22. I thought the title meant that Tesco was going to diversify into the instrument retail industry. Just imagine... Fender US Jazzes for £450 brand new!
23.
Ahh, have just found it on the line 6 site! My bass pod xt live is now for sale if anyone wants it
Looks like my old Bass Pod XT Live will be bouncing these around forums. Just make sure she goes to a good home
24. Take it to the programme "Cash in the Attic". They'll flog it for you and you'll get to be on TV!
