I fully recommend checking one out definitely
-
I recently bought an mxr m80 for £95 brand new off a fellow basschater and wow am I happy! Within 5 minutes of plugging it in I found my perfect sound that I've been searching for ever since I started playing bass, I kid you not. The construction is absolutely second to none it's brilliant I can see it lasting a long long time. People said they've had problems with the battery compartment being cheap and Breaking well I purposely forced mine a bit and it's sturdy just like the one off a 105q bass wah and I've had no problems with either! Now the eq on this is simple and effective, 3 knobs bass, mid, treble. It is great sounding and super easy to get a great/fantastic sound!! The colour switch is a thing of dreams, a bass and treble boost with a certain selected mid freq creates a perfect boost and punch with clarity that just blows me away! The distortion channel is not crap as I've heard many people say. It can go from tubey overdrive to blown out distortion that stays full and juicy no matter what. The combination of the eq and the distortion give a huge amount of different sounds to gain. This pedal can do so much in terms of finding YOUR sound. I personally find it a million times better than an eq with freq bands as mxr/Dunlop have used really great freq selections in this pedal and I adore them for that haha. I haven't had time to try out the di out but I'm sure it will be amazing. Overall I have to say this pedal is a well constructed, great sounding and brilliantly put together pedal and i hope it will be with me for a long time and it truely sounds a hell of a lot better than any demo on the Internet and if you think any of the demos are good then go for it because it will only sound better in person. Share your experiences and feel free to ask questions if you've got any! also if anyone had any settings they'd like to share?
Hi Matt, You need to state a price. As in im selling this for X amount. We don't do offers and auctions here. It may be on eBay in an auction style, but of you want to advertise them here you must state a specific price. Link to the guidelines is in my signature below or at the top of the forum if you need more info. Thanks Shep
ahh i see well since they are up for auction im going to let them run, thanks for the help i'll know for next time! Could you remove this thread then please?
Matt, If you want to advertise anything here you need to state a price as per the sale forum guidelines. Please state a price for these ASAP or we'll remove the ad. The eBay forum is for discussing interesting finds and bargains etc found on eBay. If you want to sell and advertise you are selling then we ask people support the community by listing items here and provide an asking price and provide photos and a description of the condition rather than linking to an eBay auction. Cheers Shep
Thanks my apologies i wasnt sure as to what to do, is it now acceptable?
The GEB-7 goes lower GE-7B is a bit more handy for mids It's all subjective anyway Si
i did enjoy the lows when i owned it so geb-7 it is aha
-
i think i might stick to what i already liked the geb-7
-
http://www.bossarea....=boxes/geb7.xml http://www.bossarea....=boxes/ge7b.xml Well which frequency bands do you prefer? I use both on my board, in seperate channels. I have the GEB-7 in the sub channel for the 50hz boost, and the GE-7B in the 'noise' channel for the 1k band. Each of those frequencies is exclusive to each pedal. Si
im not sure thats the problem haha
-
its the frequency bands im concerned about which are more useful?
-
im watching one and its going for £55 the geb-7 goes for around 40 odd if the old one is better i dont mind spending a little extra
-
Hello all! Im a little confused as to which one of these is better. Anybody have thoughts and opinions on which is better. I previously owned a geb-7 but sold now i want it back haha. I stumbled upon the older version which might be better? im not sure. So please gimme a hand here guys! Many thanks
Has anyone tried one of these?
Yes I owned one, it gets very bassy that's it, if you want plenty of bass get it!
We have a very similar board (same wah pedal, Pitchblack, Bassballs and Small Stone... and I also have an OC-2, although mine is a more modern version). The Pitchblack does not require 600mA. The output of the Pitchblack is just a daisy-chain, so if you use a higher current power supply you can power more pedals from it. It is just handy when it comes to running cables, if you can daisy chain some pedals, to run cables from a pedal rather than the central power supply... makes cabling a bit simpler sometimes. My Pitchblack is chained to the Dunlop wah and an Ibanez overdrive, from one output of the T-Rex Fuel Tank junior. Each output can provide up to 120mA... which does not sound like much, but pedals like the Small Stone and many others draw very little current. The Ibanez overdrive specs state 17mA, and the Darkglass B3K I just sold was 15mA I seem to recall. So some pedals can be daisy chained no problem from those outputs. Some others needed its own. I used briefly a Line6 digital delay, and it needed its own output. Same with a Digitech SynthWah pedal. At the mement I have the Pitchblack, and two Boss LS-2, which have daisy-chain outputs, and I use them with various pedals such that I have a spare output in the end. What I'm saying is: your current requirements may be lower than you think. It's not always easy to find, but look up the specs of all your pedals and you might be surprised. Edit: and I am not saying you need a T-Rex Fuel Tank, that's just what i ended up with and like very much. But I also have a supply I got from "JohnnyShredFreak" for about £14 if I recall correctly, which has powered many pedals in a single daisy chain without a problem too. That one is my back up.
Would this do the job for my pedals excluding the blogger? http://www.andertons.co.uk/power-supplies/pid9393/cid591/powerbank-dc9x-10-way-fx-pedal-power-supply.asp#page-1 its cheap I know but my money is focused on getting a new amp and this is just popped up as a problem because my bf-3 eats a battery in one practice it's insane so i want to power it but I'd rather be able to power a few more instead of just using one power supply for one pedal might aswell go a but further! So back to what i was saying would that supply do me for now?
