Yeah it was on eBay, for what I thought was a bit of a bargain considering the 7400 doesn't come up that often. I would be prepared to sell the cabs and keep the head though, just not sure how much I will use them now.
Used to be my go to amp, haven't used it for years, switched it on the other day, wow, cracker. Some knobs need replacing, precariously placed, easy to snap off knobs. How easy are they to replace, and how much are these combos worth? Thanks.
Now then, I have had this kit for a while, should I keep or move on. It's the dbs 7400, the 7410 cab (mad heavy) and 7115 (mad heavy). It's all heavy but awesome.
Wow!! What another super looking bass.
I really think the natural finish is great - the grain is lovely.
They do colour match the headstocks on the Custom USA ones, but hey they cost a lot of money.....
I would like a blueburst with maple neck if they do it....oneday
Wow!! Very nice. So many G&L's on this forum. I think the blueburst is one of the best colour choices.
How does it play and sound in comparison with your USA L2500?
How long did it take to arrive, and who handled the import paperwork and taxes etc?
Nice score.
Smokyflipps.
The ASAT was an absolute bargain at £350, and the L2500 a little more, (ahem) well not a great deal more, but it is a USA model and absolutely almost mint. It is one of the earlier designs with the 4 + 1 tuning pegs, whereas the new ones are 3 + 2.
Just love the sounds of these basses.
Wow - That didn't take long to shift. Not surprising it looks like a beauty. Was contemplating buying it....
Congratulations to the lucky new owner ZPQ
Just thought I'd add my recently purchased little beauty to the recent G&L bonanza.
Well, I finally acquired a G&L ASAT - very pleased. Then couldn't resist the L2500.
I really like the wooden binding on the body of the L2500.
Sorry for the pics - fading light!!
Thanks to everyone who sent me details of places to look for them and ones offered for sale.
Should keep me going for a while.....
